I am not rushing to trade Zeke as of right now, but you would have to be blind to not see he is not the 90 million dollar man we paid him to be. He hasn't been for at least a couple years now.
To blast pollard because of a mediocre game in which the team pllayed him as a relief RB, not the starter mind you, behind a HS quality oline against the best run defense in the league just goes to show how 12yr old like some fans can be.

Pollard gets accolades from some fans here for having a decent run here or there but the same fans are quiet as a mouse when Pollard continues to get stuffed at the point of attack.

1) 2.8 ypc aint mediocre.. it's terrible.. Mind you that if not for a 12 yard garbage time run on the last play of the game it would have been 7 carries for 10 yards.
2) Did they sub in the varsity oline and the JV run defense when Zeke was in this very same game? I mean people have been claiming for weeks that Pollard performing "better" against the same defenses that Zeke was facing with the same blocking that Zeke was getting was proof that he should start.. Never mind that Pollard has had more sub 3.5 ypc games than Zeke has this season.. The argument has been that Pollard is better.. based on "more splash plays", "better ypc average", and on and on.. Then when it turns out NOT to be the case it's the line's fault?

Still we agree.. it would make no sense to be moving on from Zeke seeing as how he will count like 24 million against the cap next year if we cut him at the end of this season. Anybody whining about poor cap management should really just **** about that move cause it aint hapnin nor should it.

Zeke can't even turn around on time to locate the football, so not sure where you getting your stats from. Pollard is a better value than Zeke and is not even close.

I get my stats from pro-football-reference.com .. It started out as a stat geek site but I believe they are not partnered with the NFL.. If you don't like my stats go find another site that has different numbers and we can examine them. I trust pro-football-reference.. I don't trust instagrammers and youtubers.

Kellen Moore's packages in scheme is going unnoticed or unaccounted for. Zeke in/Zeke out.....Pollard in/Pollard out....at questionable times. Zeke lined out, since he scored a receiving TD against Minny. Red zone play calling has been horrendous. Moore calls plays to seek FG attempts, and scares no DC.

Seeing both backs having multiple games this bad tells me this line stinks out load. Shocking. Seeing that the "big play" back has as many such games than the washed up plodder who is allegedly getting stuffed over and over tells me some people are watching a different game than I am. Pollard's ypc average is inflated by a couple of big runs and a small sample size. Didn't he get like 15% of his yards on one run? The more he runs the lower his ypc gets. Mind you my intent is not to bash Tony Pollard. He is perfectly suited for the change of pace back role. Now that he has at least become decent at blitz pickup you see he is getting more burn earlier in games. I like to see guys rewarded for their hard work and improvement like that. But it bears nothing that since they started doing that after his big showing against Pitt and Minny he hasn't had any impact plays.. at all. It's almost like having to do more of the heavy lifting has worn him down ... Sound familiar?

Well it concerns me since were in a salary capped league and I’m a fan of the team. Zeke just isn’t worth the contract. The guy isn’t explosive, he’s good for maybe a 12 yard run every few games and that’s about it.

we can get equal production out of Pollard and use the money elsewhere. Pollard is far more excited and has a burst that Zeke just cannot duplicate.

BTW, in the post above you said 2.8 ypc is terrible in reference to Pollard. Where were you when zeke had a 2.43 ypc average against Seattle when we still had some of O line intact? Where were you when he had 2.83 ypc against Pitt?
