Zeke's contract is part of the reason we don't have Byron Jones anymore and our secondary is in shambles. In a hard cap league you have to consider every dollar and see where you can get the most value for your money.
no its not if Jerry believed in BJ he would have kept him the dude a very nice player but was NOT worth the deal he was asking.. fans here complained from day 1 it took him 3 years just to settle in and doesnt make splash plays, hes not ball hawk, you dont pay that elite money for DB who doesnt make game changing plays a few games a year..
you all believe you know the cap, Jerry would sign them all if he had faith in them..BJ lie beasly, quinn, Hitchens, and many others priced themselves our of dallas npot because of the cap, had nothing to do with the cap but there talent or return on investment was not worth it..
but keep trying to be the GM while behind a keyboard with Cheeto dust all over your hands..Jerry could fit any deal he wants under a cap when they are needed, capaologist find a way..he wasn't in our plans,,
it was NOT a choice BJ vs EE, it was simply a business decsions..
if you pay a S or DB that kind of they better be Revis island, Sander, or dare i say Ramsey , i wouldnt have traded for Ramsey or Adams but pay scale wise they would be far better investments then BJ..
BJ is Carr Carr was overpaid and never was specials, very solid player , Heck TNewman was better..
so quit the hyperbole
yes its in shambles but not because we let BJ go...Diggs was rounding into form and will be fine next year, we will draft another stud at corner and build that way a S in FA maybe..BJ would not have made differences this year so Diggs got his learning lumps..
BJ is not difference maker , just very solid player..
