I was pumped when Pollard ran the 40 yarder for a TD, but he was awful before that and was averaging 2 YPC prior and you can't count on a miss-tackle every game to put them away.

So were you saying Zeke was awful when he was churning out 14 carries for 34 yards (2.43 YPC) in Week 3, 18 carries for 51 yards (2.83 YPC) in Week 9, or 10 carries for 32 yards (3.2 YPC) in Week 12?

I'm saying that we have a need for both RBs. Again, I have no desire to argue salary amounts, extensions or draft positions. It's useless. I also don't feel it's logical to expect any player to be the same with a horrible O line as they were 4+ years ago with the best O line. There are 1,000 of these threads and the same tools repeating the same things.

I stand by my opinion. Elliott is the better RB, pass blocker and will get you yards game to game. Pollard is the better receiver, better hands, faster and they compliment each other.

I don't see any value in continuing to repeat that I wouldn't have drafted ANY RB with the 4th overall OR extended him early. But do I seriously have to post that qualifier every time someone like Caly flexes his internet muscles when someone doesn't **** on Zeke?

He wasn’t awful, he was bottled up by a great run defense and he broke through. Zeke hasn’t done that...ever. He doesn’t have the ability to break those tackles and take it the distance. Didn’t even do it at a rookie. He needed gaping holes to spring him.

I'm going to just keep repeating it because people don't appreciate how statistically absurd this is for a supposed "elite" running back.....1,380 career carries and just four (4) rushes of 40+ yards (with three of those coming in 2016).

If you're going to give one the luxury of excuses, which I'm not arguing, than you need to do it for both. They're completely different RBs. Elliott doesn't break long ones, but he'll get you yards. Not to mention playing with multiple leg injuries.

I promise you I didn't repeat anything I've criticized any player as much as you do, and I tend to try and not be a dick about it unless warranted. You're literally impossible to not only have a conversation with, but even a debate.

I would do it for both. It is my biggest complaint about Zeke. He can’t create on his own. This long TD run wasn’t just a huge hole against a tired defense. It was individual effort to break a tackle and make something happen. Zeke doesn’t do that. If he did, I wouldn’t have any issues with him.

But you're just not. Agree to disagree. There were 4 defenders that were within arms length that screwed the pooch. Fantastic run and he burned the rest of the defenders. But I'm not ready to hoist him up from one run. I need to see more because without that 1 run he had 29 yards.

When will Zeke make defenders screw the pooch for a big play?

Can anyone make sense of this gibberish?

If that's all you care about than that's where we differ. Elliott has had more yards in games. The sum of yards is important.

It’s not all I care about. Zeke gets bottled up and you blame the offensive line. Pollard gets bottled up, then makes an individual big play and you’re still trying to defend Zeke. Pollard can get bottled up like Zeke can. Zeke can’t break anything like Pollard can though. If you disagree; just find the replay and post it. I promise I will look at it with an open mind.

Let's see:

Pollard Career NFL Carries: 1,380

Elliott Career NFL Carries: 161

I would hope he has a higher sum of rushing yards after damn near 10X the amount of NFL carries as Pollard.

I'm not trying to change your mind. Hopefully we'll get a bigger sample size than one game and 60+ yards. That one play is your entire argument.
Have a good one.

No, that one play destroys all the excuses made for Zeke over the past 3 years.

And that's before he starts lying about things he said in the past. If you skim over every posts he makes by assuming it says "Nuhh Huhhh", you will get exactly the same information.
