Roger is the greatest hands down!

Not according to Roger.

Educational thing, so clever, insult upon insult. I've been educated on Cowboy QB's by watching since '71.This is an OPINION based message board. Maybe it's you who lacks education?

Not trying to insult you. Sorry if you felt that way.

I'm about as big a Romo supporter as there ever was. He's clearly a better QB than Aikman. But Staubach was a step above when adjusting for era.

Staubach was fricken great but he didn't change plays based on the defense like Romo does. Landry wouldn't allow it.

Staubach by a mile....those of us fortunate to watch his entire career will never forget the feelings we had watching him play every week...he made the whole team better just bt his presence..greatest leader I'd ever seen.

Didnt Romo do that today

Omly been watching since about 88 89 so romo is the best easily ive seen.

H
Didnt Romo do that today
He sure did and I hope he continues......but Roger did it consistently and on the biggest stage and pressure playoff situations. This thread is saying Romo is the Cowboys goat QB...IMO it's still Roger.

Watching Tony today reminded me of Steve Young. They're exactly alike except one's lefty and the other is a righty. Both QBs were/are extremely nifty in manuvering the pocket, moreover don't give either one too much time or they'll slice your defense in half.

Hey now. Don't sell the man short.

Romo completed a pass lefty and righty today.

IMO there's no true way to say who was the best. We have been very fortunate to have Roger, Troy, Tony and even Danny suit up at QB for us. So many variables, whether it be NFL adjustments to the league rules and talent on roster etc that a quarterback has to deal with.
I have no issue with having Romo in the same conversation with Aikman and Staubach, but I have no desire to say one was definitely better than the others. All were great in their era.
