well if guys like Crayton would catch the ball when needed to, and if TO could get open in the last half the season like he did for the first half, and the record would not get to everyone's head, then yeah we could probably get over that hump.

Romo was not totally innocent, but I believe it was more on a team level. Although it did seem like when TO went out, no one stepped up to the plate at all, and when TO was in late in the season, he had a real hard time getting open. I remember the announcers showing him struggling with just one guy covering him late in the season as well as some of the roll out defenses opponents put in for him.

. Care to watch the playoff game over again? Romo missed TO on a wide open touchdown in the red zone. Towards the end of the game TO got past the Giants entire secondary for a touchdown and Romo threw it short because the Giants hit him. So stop the bull####. TO played the same way late in the year as he did in the begining.

ACtually the majority of celebrities are marries to unknowns. You are going by the handful that make the news on a regular basis.

Tony is new to alot of stuff... being a celebrity is one of the things he is new to... Simpson is not. Tony is a puppy/nice guy in a dog eat dog celebrity world.

I will go on record in saying that he does not end up with Jessica. With that said... he cannot afford to cost us seasons because of this playing around with celebrities. His LEGACY depends on it... already.

don't buy into all that crap about Jessica or him taking trips to Mexico in an off week before a playoff game being the reason for the struggle... alot of athletes bring their significant others to their games, and Cowboys have shown signs of downward spiral before that trip to Mexico.

Coaches just need to get the whole team to focus on finishing a season and making it to the big game before making the travel plans. The whole season record and what they accomplished got to their heads, and they lost to an inferior team that wanted it more because of it.

Romo had some bad throws in that game, but he obviously did do enough to win in that game it just didn't happen because of a combination of drops by his wrs and a couple of letdowns by the defense in the first half.
Give me a break.Romo was one of the main reasons we lost that game. he missed Owens wide open on a touchdown. he also made dumb plays all day long.like holding the ball to long. and like grounding the ball when he could have thrown it away since he was outside the pocket.he has played terrible in both playoff losses.he did not lose it by himself. but he was part of the problem. the jury is still out on this guy.

Celebrities usually attract celebrities because it's hard to date "ordinary" people because you never know if they want you for you or because you're rich & famous.

With that being said, I don't think any celebrity should dump their mate because their fans want them to. All this talk about how mad we get because celebrities think they are better and above us but we sure are quick to try to tell them who they should and shouldn't date or be attracted to.

If this is true I am only dating celebrities from now on! I dont know that these ordinary chicks want either.

Thanks for the tip! Go Cowboys!

Good lord ..... you have been dogging Romo and the entire team since you joined the forum.

We know you do not like Romo or Jerry.

The rest of us are glad we finally got a QB.

I'd say the jury is still out on whether Romo is the answer but I have a feeling he will win the big game. The thing you have to think about is the New York Giants dominated the Patriots offensive line in the Super Bowl. When I watched Romo play against the Giants, he had that dazed look. When I saw Brady play the Giants, he had the same dazed look. I think the look was of too much defensive pressure. It was just the Giant's time last year. This year, it won't be.

I could care less about Romo or his celeb girlfriend. this guy needs to shut his piehole and win something. he has failed 2 years in a row in the playoffs.

Me too.

But... if he is not careful he could end up being just a good QB that never won the Cowboys anything... I would rather he be in the class of Roger and Troy than Danny White. He is at THAT crossroads already.

Thats the thing. We dont know if last year was the year/game that catapults one franchise over another. The Giants leaving with a win last year may be felt for years to come.

Time will tell.

Every QB not named Manning has failed the last two years.

the whole team played laid back and lackadaisy at the end of the year. Alot of QBs miss their WR in open positions during the year and in the playoffs. That being said, I never said Romo did not have any faults, but to say TO did not struggle getting open alot more in the latter part of the season is to just not be watching close enough.

A wr not getting open is not always on the defense, it can also be on the WR also and this is where I am questioning responsibility. Was it TO just struggling to find that right niche in his routes to get open, or is it because teams have made the necessary adjustments to compensate for TO in their coverage schemes? I am not sure..... We need more threats upfield on offense so hopefully Austin and everyone else but TO can step up their game so that defenses have to respect all of the ball catchers rather than focus only on TO.

I for one hope im wrong about Romo. but everytime i hear about this guy he's playing golf or running around with Jessica simpson. or singing at cubs baseball games. this guy is everywhere but in the film room.my point is, seems like this guy has done nothingto get better as a QB this offseason.he had 20 picks last season. maby if he was watching enough film this summer he would see why.football is year around. not just a six month job. the jury is out of this guy bigtime.

Unless you are secretly stalking Tony Romo, I find it hard to believe that you have some inside knowledge that he's not improving some part of his game in the off season.

Just because he actually has some fun in the off season doesn't mean that he doesn't take his job as starting QB seriously and doesn't mean that he does nothing to improve his game.

I'm pretty sure that his night time activities with Jessica are not his only workout routines in the off season. Maybe I'm wrong, but hey, I'm not the one following around Tony with the camera like yourself.

Have you thought about the possibility that the things Romo enjoys are simply high profile activities?

Do you think there is some player on the roster who has spent a good time of his offseason hunting and fishing? Spending time with their family? Traveling? Getting involved in a new business venture?

Just because Tony Romo's activities make the headlines, does not mean that he is any more or less dedicated than any other player.

If you can show me the name of the QB who has spent their entire off season eating, sleeping, and drinking football then we have someone to use as a benchmark. I don't think that guy exists.

As long as Romo or any other Cowboy for that matter decline any and all vacations during the playoffs I will be happy.

Ugh. Some of you fans are so darn spoiled by QBs like Stauback, White, and Aikman in your pasts that you must think that guys can just walk in, play well, and suddenly lead you to Superbowls immediately.

Tell me again how many Superbowls did Roger, Aikman, or White win in their first year and a half as a starter?

I'll give you a hint...It's less than 2.

So Roger did not win a Super Bowl in his first year as a starter?

Payton Manning lived in the film room from day one. and believe it or not he still does. thats why he's so good.Romo seems to think he is so good he does not need to improve. thats a hugh mistake. it's a year round job folks.

You're right I forget that he actually won one the year he 'became' the official starter. It was only about his 4th or 5th year in the league so I always forget that he didn't actually start, officially, till that year.

So 1 time out of 3 quality QBs and I guess that means Romo had just better, absolutely, win one ten minutes after he becomes the starter cause LORD KNOWS that's the rule.

Please.

Ahh...so you on good authority can break down the hours that Romo spends away from football after the season compared to Manning.

I will be waiting for your breakdown, and your source.

I promise you one thing, I will not be holding my breath waiting for you to do so.

Why?

Because you can't.
