I think Strahan stays retired. He already as a gig on FOX for this coming season and he was able to get the ring this past season. As for the Giants as a whole I respect what they did and I don't think they got any special treatment from anyone.

They were clear cut underdogs in Tampa, Dallas, GB and big time underdog’s vs the Pats who many claimed was getting special treatments from the refs but low and behold they did not get that so called special treatment in the SB. I think Refs make mistake but I don't think they are dictating or determining the outcomes of any games.

If I thought for a second these games were not on the up and up I would not bother watching it. I grew up giving teams credit when it was due and I give the Giants the credit for a job well done.

I hated it in the past when people would make these claims when Dallas won I’m not going to do as those people do it just comes off as sour grapes to me and while I’m an extremely completive person I’m not a sore loser. I look forward to facing them this season

Yeah I agree, officiating does go both ways. I just hate to have it happen on a game that determines the whole outcome of our season. Thats just the way the ball bounces sometimes. :(

It was just the G-mens time.

Thing is Dallas made too many of their own mistakes within the game. Refs are an easy way out but when you get down to it there was not 1 call that cost us that game but there were plenty of mistake by our own making that did. I do agree that we had a couple of calls go against us but I also saw an offensive line that was breaking down consistently in the 2nd half as well dumb penalties

but than again he had 4 years to watch and learn. he also has a top 3 wr, a top 3 TE, a good running game, and last but not least he plays the most important position on the most well known team in the league. it's time for Tony to put up or shut up.

I can agree that he needs to put up, but shut up? He has not boasted about anything. Rather he has been humble about his success.

He is far more responsible in his viewpoint than over-enthusiastic fans. Some of them on this board.

Whatever man. maby it's going to take another first round playoff loss to wake some of you Romo lovers up. i want the cowboys to win it all. and it starts with the QB.im not sold on Romo.

Which previous Cowboys quarterbacks were you sold on -- before they won?

Unless you can name one, you are just fussing to be fussing.

Romo being at fault and still in question is just a wet dream for you. That is all you have to hang your hat on, cuz everything else he is playing about as good as a young starting QB can play. :starspin

I for one hope im wrong about Romo. but everytime i hear about this guy he's playing golf or running around with Jessica simpson. or singing at cubs baseball games. this guy is everywhere but in the film room.my point is, seems like this guy has done nothingto get better as a QB this offseason.he had 20 picks last season. maby if he was watching enough film this summer he would see why.football is year around. not just a six month job. the jury is out of this guy bigtime.

you must be an idiot. Who do you work for? Do you spend every waking minute locked in some closet in your house doing studying & analyzing the sales reports all day and night long?

Don't you ever get out? Do you enjoy to golf? Or a night of going out to eat, nightclub, or whatever? Well, Romo does too, and who is it for us to tell him who to date, and where and when he is to go?

This is the key, I will try and type this slowly so you can get this clearly: to tell Romo he should not be in the spotlight is to tell him that he is to lock himself up in his house when he is not on the Cowboys practice field. Look at Brittany Spears, say what you will about her as a person, but she cannot go anywhere without reporters and gawkers hanging all over her vehicle and such stalking her every move.
Romo is the QB on one of the highest profile teams in America and possibly the whole world.

That being said, any coach you ever talk to says Romo does nothing but come in early, study, stay late, and everything you could ask of the guy. Now if the coaches who work with the guy say that, where do you get your info? You know what, your info sounds a little b.s. if you ask me.

I think the key here is that there is not a single QB in the league doing what this guy thinks Romo needs to be doing.

If all the other QBs were doing it, then he might be onto something.

Instead this guy watches ET tonight or something along the lines, sees Romo out having a good time and makes the assumption that is all Romo ever does.

He also does not see Manning being talked about on ET therefore that means Manning must be eating, drinking, and breathing only football during the offseason.

It is called logic or the lack thereof.

Quarterbacks in the NFL take 3 to 4 years to mature. Judgment should be cast after this season or the next. Having said that, Romo is playing for the highest profile team in the NFL. There is a lot of pressure on him this year, a lot of it is unjustified. Even if he plays at a premier QB level and the Cowboys don't go far in the playoffs, he will be crucified. That is the reality of the situation in Dallas. Eli faced the same criticism in New York. The true test will be how he faces up to the pressure placed upon him.

Look it's not about me. this is about championships.the guy has had two terrible playoff games. i like Romo and hopes he can win a championship here. but let him win a playoff game first. can he play and win a pressure playoff game? that is still an open queston, like it or not.

Come on do not play us for fools.

Of course at some point he is going to have to win a playoff game. That is a given.

What is not a given is your implication that he is not "dedicated" enough.

You provided zero evidence to back up your claim.

Also, Romo the QB did plenty to win his first playoff game. Romo the placeholder got relieved of his duties.

Angus had a good question for you:

Which previous Cowboys quarterbacks were you sold on -- before they won?

So yes, we all get "it" that at some point Romo better win a Super Bowl.

Yeah, I just upped the ante.

I could care less if Dallas beat NY last year but went on to lose to GB.

In Dallas only one thing counts and that is Super Bowl championships.

If Romo wins a Super Bowl, he goes down as a Cowboy great.

If he does not, he will be considered a failure.

No doubt! People are morons to think it was Romo's fault the Cowboys lost to the Giants!:bang2: :bang2: The Oline couldn't block, WR's dropped passes and Reeves sucks.

To point the finger at one player is stupid. It takes 53 men to win a championship not one individual!

You obviously weren't here when Quincy Carter was blamed for everything.

You didn't answer the question, which means the Cowboys have never had a QB who you were "sold on" before they won, which means Romo is in as good a shape, as far as you are concerned, as were Staubach and Aikman before they won. That's pretty good company.

It means you are just arguing for argument's sake.

I wouldn't say that. I mean Danny White was by no means a failure, he just didn't get us the ring in his tenure. But how much of it was his fault vs. the teams fault?

Put Tom Brady on last years Dolphins and he no less talented, he just ain't going to the SB (and is lucky to win 4 games).

I know that the QB position is the most important, and it comes with the greatest set of expectations, but I don't think history judges a QB as a failure because he doesn't get a ring. Marino is still one of the all time greats without one... Not to say his lack of a ring doesn't haunt him or his legacy, but everybody knows that it was Miami's fault that he didn't get one... not his.

Of course, we are talking about the QB of the Dallas Cowboys, and that's a whole different ballgame. Being our QB doesn't mean you have to have a different standard to reflect upon your legacy by, it just means that we are going to judge you that way whether it's fair or not.

This team will win the Superbowl as a team this year, or lose it as one.

Fair or not, if Romo never wins a Super Bowl Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach will be the things legends are made of and Danny White will continue to be "nice story".

Fair or not that is how Romo will be judged.

So I am not implying a Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach are solely responsible for our Super Bowl victories nor am I implying that Danny White is soley responsible for no Super Bowl victories.

It just goes with the territory. If you want to be known as great one, you better win a Super Bowl.

Or put up ungodly career numbers as Marino did.

Very true.

Just imagine if Dan "The Man" had won multiple Super Bowls.

I will be so glad when he wins his first playoff game so this particular brand of drama can just go away. I am sure he will be also.
