That’s not a real question either by that crew either. That’s a cowardly cop out asked to just start an online argument. Majority of the time whatever you say won’t be good enough to replace Dak Cousins.Who are you going to replace him with!! That's the question they love to ask lol
Appears most fans wouldn’t have a problem with that. Anything that would result in Dak being gone many would be on board with. Then play Trey Lance and have the number 1 pick in 2025.
It depends on who they hire to coach. Belechek would want a veteran after suffering through Mac Jones. Personally, I don’t think Jerry would trade Dak but Atlanta would be a great landing spot if the option was there and a place Dak might accept. What if Atlanta takes a QB at 8?
The point being missed here is that the pool of teams Dak would likely accept a trade to is very, very small. And some of those teams may make their QB decisions before June even rolls around - like take a QB early in the draft. Any June 1 attempt to trade him is going to be a situation where the pool is extremely limited which also means the compensation in return for Dak is likely to be depressed.
Now, that could change if a team gets desperate because their QB got hurt. But that's then dragging this out until August. Further, I suspect if Jerry is OK with Dak not being on the roster, he wants picks in this draft, not just picks in future drafts.
I am fine with a tear down and rebuild. Although here are the challenges with that.Appears most fans wouldn’t have a problem with that.
He could agree to a trade. The way he continues to be dumped on by the fan base he may consider it, depending on the team seeking the trade. He’s so disliked by Cowboys fans, it’s becoming an unhealthy situation. No trade clause?
Stephen A Smith mentioned when he was at a boxing match in the last off-season in Vegas, he ran into a bunch of Cowboys players. He said they were all confident in their ability to go all the way, the question mark they had was Dak. They didn’t really have confidence in him, though they obviously wanted him to succeed.Maybe that's why none of the cowboys players are sticking up for him right now. Only way he waves that no trade clause is if he feels this team no longer wants him here.
Or he could take the $60M and be a free agent and get another $300M contract next year.He could agree to a trade. The way he continues to be dumped on by the fan base he may consider it, depending on the team seeking the trade. He’s so disliked by Cowboys fans, it’s becoming an unhealthy situation.
A tear down and rebuild starting with your QB could lead to years of futility but apparently some of you don’t care. There’s a lot more challenges with a rebuild than you think. It would beyond ridiculous tearing down a team coming off three straight 12-5 seasons that just won the NFC East for the second time in three years. You don’t tear teams like that down because you’re struggling in the playoffs. The Cowboys would never make the playoffs if fans ran the team.I am fine with a tear down and rebuild. Although here are the challenges with that.
1. Jerry is running out of time
2. Jerry does not know how to build.
So either way we are stuck in the same position.
This is an easy example of one of the cowardly posters and or Dak truthers exposing themselves. Instead of looking at situations where it worked out points out the situation where it doesn’t. SmhIt’s a serious question. Skids were in a huge hurry to try and replace captain kirk and how’s that been going for them.
That’s because we wasted all of them with this QB project in training…Who exactly is going to coach up the new QB? We're going to have to hope we've drafted Aaron Rodgers 2.0 because we'll be bringing him onto a team with a limited O-line, no run game and a defense that completely disappears in the playoffs. Better hope he can drop 50 points against some of the toughest defenses in the league. I know he'll be thrilled that we take another tight end when there's gaping holes in the O-line.
Or his agent works his butt off to find a partner.Doesn’t mean Dak can’t be traded.
It just means he gets to basically pick the team.
The liquor store guy.Who are you going to replace him with!! That's the question they love to ask lol
he would love for the Cowboys to hold pat with no extension tell Dak to "Prove yourself" take the money then get a HUGE bidding war in FA the next season...the agent would love that..its the worst case scenario for the Cowboys...Or his agent works his butt off to find a partner.
He doesn't want Dak to hit the open market with no suitors. Actually he would like Dak to find his team earlier, and begin the acclimation process ASAP.
Anyone can be traded, clause or no clause. You just have to be creative.
A tear starting with a QB is a disaster. Just look at the Niners for a future model.A tear down and rebuild starting with your QB could lead to years of futility but apparently some of you don’t care. It would beyond ridiculous tearing down a team coming off three straight 12-5 seasons that just won the NFC East for the second time in three years. You don’t tear teams like that down because you’re struggling in the playoffs. The Cowboys would never make the playoffs if fans ran the team.
I take Russell Wilson at $35M per year for 2 years until the Heir Apparent shows upWho are you going to replace him with!! That's the question they love to ask lol
Sounds like my ex....."how much do you think i saved you today?"....after out shopping. It’s saves 34M of a 60M potential cap hit. The rest comes due in 2025. There is no easy out.
Dak loses another long-time supporter............Stephen A Smith mentioned when he was at a boxing match in the last off-season in Vegas, he ran into a bunch of Cowboys players. He said they were all confident in their ability to go all the way, the question mark they had was Dak. They didn’t really have confidence in him, though they obviously wanted him to succeed.
If you are going to rebuild go all in. Trade Dak, CD and Micah. Keeping them with no QB is a complete waste. That’s because we wasted all of them with this QB project in training…
