No it wasn’t!No the play calling was the problem today !
Been this way all year, the offense never improved. 1 for 6 in red zone, you score one more TD you winToo much overreacting today.
Does Ferguson or Guyton even know the snap count? False start brothersFerguson suffers from CFSS (Chronic False Start Syndrome).
Dude couldn't even line up properly this season: illegal formations, holding calls, drops, must have false started 9x this year, fumbled alot. Terrible terrible season.
I like Schoon better tbh. At least his brain is functional.
This thread started out as a decent discussion, but its going off the rails fast....your solution is to find the magic answer later in the draft? You're proposed solution is just going to lead to finding another limited TE for this team in 2025. TE is one of the more difficult positions and takes time to develop guys unless you hit on a Laporta or Bowers early on.Solution, scout the TE's coming out of college, not just the top guys, get some guys that can catch in the red zone. Big guy that can run a few yards turn around and catch. Apparently neither one can do that basic thing,
The play calling in the redzone was trash all year, and they should've been running the ball down there too. I get it, but how many RZ targets did Ferg get? Ferg didn't have a good year, for sure, but it was a lot going on. I think Schoon is a better weapon, but I'd like a coach that can use all these guys better.Been this way all year, the offense never improved. 1 for 6 in red zone, you score one more TD you win
You can get a big body TE in the draft, in free agency that can catch in the red zone, not just in the first few rounds. These guys are dime a dozen. Ferguson and Schoonmaker disappear in the red zone. They arent good enough to do basic things. This thread started out as a decent discussion, but its going off the rails fast....your solution is to find the magic answer later in the draft? Ferg caught 50 passes for roughly 500 yards last year on short yardage passes. The big guy who can run a few yards, turn around, and catch is the main thing Ferg does really well. The issue is you need other threats on the field so defenses play you honestly. This is where you've lost me on this thread. There are sooo many issues with Ferg this year, but what you want out of a TE you really dont understand that you have that player already. You have enough of a football IQ to recognize an issue, but not a high enough football IQ to realize why its an issue.
Neither guy can get open in the RZ, dont you get it?The play calling in the redzone was trash all year, and they should've been running the ball down there too. Was there plays designed for them? Were they targeted?Neither guy can get open in the RZ, dont you get it?
That sucker is usTheres always some sucker out there
No cause they couldnt get openWas there plays designed for them? Were they targeted?
Ok man, but without proof you just trolling these TEs for some personal bias or agenda. They'll be back next season, so you have like 7 months to keep this up.No cause they couldnt get open
OK well who are these dime a dozen guys that Dallas should pursuit? I'd be more than happy to take note of a couple guys you name and see if they are better than Ferg/Schoon next season. You can get a big body TE in the draft, in free agency that can catch in the red zone, not just in the first few rounds. Spann Ford is an example he was playing better than either of these stiffs but because they are draft picks they get the start and of course they dont do anything.OK well who are these dime a dozen guys that Dallas should pursuit? In 2024 you have had 17 TEs from that draft class and only 1 has more than 30 catches and that was the top TE in the draft Brock Bowers. Only 5 have 20 or more catches.
I'm more than happy to be proven wrong here as I would love to see the Cowboys upgrade, but again I simply dont think you understand what you're talking about.
