I really have no idea. He is a probowl kicker so it stands to reason he would be worth something. First thing that comes to mind is depth along the OL, Lets say a team offers a 4th? I really have no idea.

I would not trade Folk for a 4th round draft pick this year. Things can always change in the off season. I think it would take being able to get a player in return that can contribute this season in order to trade Folk. I don't see the odds of that happening.

The value of a kicker is funny and hard to define. I would say Folk is not worth a high draft pick and at the same time I think he is too valuable to trade. You don't see many kickers traded in the NFL. The reason being that teams just aren't willing to part with too much to acquire a kicker.

Folk is too good. Games are decided by 3 or less so often it would freek me out to go back to a kicker we just aren't sure about. Keep 2 kickers.

If Folk heals well and Buehler is as advertised than were set.

Makes for excellent ST. Top 5 PK, Top 5 P, Top KS. Just tell Crayton to hold it high and tight.

Yeah I think I am going to PM Hos to change it back. I have actually been told this a few times.

I alos would like to point out that I am not advocating trading Folk thus the question mark. My point is that there has been quite a bit of trepidation over having two kickers. I personally don't like the idea of having 2 kickers for the next 4 years.

Of course Beuhler would have a long way to go to prove himself but what I am asking is at what point do you do that or do you guys just think we keep 2 kickers for the foreseeable future?

No...hes too accurate, and with the tight end threats we have, and the rb threats we have we can afford to run 5 wr instead of 6.

by drafting another kicker in three years in Buehler, only solidifies what I said on Draft day, Dallas made a huge mistake passing on Mason Crosby for Folk. Now we're stuck with taking two kickers on gameday. Beuhler isn't an accurate kicker, he'll never take that job away from Folk, he's here for kickoffs only..

Funny that Dallas drafts kickers higher than receivers, something is seriously wrong with that kind of football logic..... oh that's right, look who we have as a GM..that explains it all

A huge mistake? Dallas ended up with a clutch, pro-bowl kicker. How is that a mistake? A mistake would be drafting a kicker that ended up being terribly inconsistent. That is not Folk.

Dallas is not stuck with two kickers. Nothing is set in stone that they will keep Buehler. He was the Cowboys 11th draft choice in this past draft, so it is not as if they blew their draft just to get him.

By your own logic you would be a bad GM. You would have drafted Mason Crosby instead of Folk, which would have been drafting a kicker higher than a wide receiver. By the way, Stanback was drafted higher than Folk.

Folk > Crosby in FG kicking
Crosby > Folk in kickoffs

FG kicking > kickoffs

Crosby kicks mostly outdoors, Folk kicks 8 games in pretty much a dome stadium. Crosby's number of touchback far out weigh Folks non touchbacks, meaning field position.

Folk is a good kicker, but I'd take Crosby over him anyday...Crosby is the better kicker

Beuhler will be the second kicker on the roster on game day, mark it down, it's a given!!!!!!!

Stanback was a QB conversion, not a receiver.....he was drafted because of measureables. I'm talking pure receiver, other than the other malcontnent Bryant, when has dallas selected a receiver prior to the fourth round...

Drafting a kicker in the 5th round has nothing to do with drafting a wide receiver. The 5th round or later is when you draft kickers or punters. Dallas did what other clubs do. That is not a problem.

If you want to believe that Dallas should have drafted a wide receiver in any round of the draft the last couple of years, that is fine. It just has nothing to do with drafting a kicker. They did not forsake drafting a wide receiver to draft a kicker. The two things are not related.

I think it is probable that Buehler will be the second kicker on game day, but it is no guarantee. Injuries do happen and can determine the outcome of whether Buehler is kept on the roster.

I'd rather have a reliable FG kicker than a consistent touchback specialist. But I don't see the need to get rid of either one. Just take two kickers.

Yep...exactly

If we had a coverage unit worth a damn this would not even be a topic of discussion. As a matter of fact it we had a coverage unit worth a damn last year I doubt we would of picked another kicker.

Buehler would need to hit two overtime, game-winning field goals on monday night television before I'd trust him over Folk.

:clap2:

Nick Folk is as clutch as they come and wouldn't trade him for any kicker in the NFL. I wouldn't even trade Folk for a 3rd rounder. Seriously. The guy is just clutch.

Folk won me over in the Buffalo game. Up until that point I had to cover my eyes every time the team took the field for a FG attempt.
