He’s having to fight off blocks because of how bad we are upfront. Last week against New Orleans he was being taken out of plays by tight ends.

Sure but he also has zero help inside of him and mediocre at best help outside of him.

Micah and Tank are both out on islands by themselves on the edge.

It isn't QB money. QBs will be getting 70.
It’s going to be a while before a QB gets $70 million per season. Right now the going right for a QB is $50 million per season. No way is Parsons going to receive that

Yea, you're wrong. It was the fake Jet Sweep.

Micah was lined up as a 4i and got pushed by a double. Wilson and Liufau BOTH bit on the fake jet sweep and blew the gap assignment. If either one of them was home, the play goes nowhere.

You're making things up.
Nah that isnt the play but it was in the 4th that Micah had lamar dead to rights and missed because he went for a fake...teams run right at him plenty and again if you had a defense that COULD use his pass rush to win then he is worth it...on a defense that cant stop the run he is just a really expensive hood ornament....until they fix that he is just another big contract that wont move the needle..how are these teams beating us with the run anyways Mac its a passing league isnt it?

The going rate right now is $60m. Dak literally just got it. There are 9 QBs with an AAV over $50m and none of them were even on the open market.

Doesn't matter if it is going to be a while. Percentage of cap is going to keep going up.

It all starts upfront and the only way we’re going to improve the defense is build the DL and add a real solid DT.

Tua signed for less than what some of the others are getting. Not every QB that’s going to be up for a contract will get $60 million per season. CJ Stroud will get $60 million plus per season.

Yes they will. CURRENT AAV DOESN'T MATTER.

Dak's extension kicks in next year and let's assume a cap of $285m. $60m, is 21%. In 2026, assuming a cap of $315m, $60m AAV will represent 19% of cap. 21% of cap would be $66m. Stroud would be signing at the exact value of Dak at $66m, and that's probably the low end.

no and it wasnt just one play they ran to his side plenty...they gained 270 yards rushing, your the one saying he played good and the rest of the D stinks which again kinda speaks to KJJ point....whats the point in having the highest paid pass rusher when the other team doesnt need to pass the ball?

I don't know, that point doesn't make any sense.

Here's Myles Garret getting roasted by a read-option and, by your definition, blowing the play and allowing Zeke ot score 3 weeks ago.

Stroud is the only young QB on the radar that’s going to get 60+ million dollars per season within the next couple of years. Anthony Richardson isn’t going to get that much and Bryce Young certainly isn’t.

Doesn't matter how many QBs sign. That's not the point.

"QB Money" is defined by percentage of cap.

Yeah. But the FO should be able to do that without sacrificing their best edge pass rusher. Otherwise you’re filling one hole but creating another.

do you feel like Micah is the fix for this defenses problem? again THIS DEFESNE, how does having a fast undersized DE help this defense so far? if you could swap your DE for a stud interior DL and get a servicable DE would you? thats this point you can keep saying how Micah is doing fine as the defense gives up record rushing yards but the OP has a very valid point....change how your building this defense because how you have built it isnt working...correct?

Micah is a fix for every defense in the league. It isn't like Dallas couldn't afford more players right now.

It is also very easy for you to take the stance you are without actually naming players. Like you'd trade Micah for Derrick Brown and Dorrance Armstrong? That's really stupid.

They’re not going to be able to pay Parsons and plug the other holes with quality players. Not with Dak and CeeDee making the money they are. We would be better off with a high quality DT and another quality piece upfront along with a quality RB than with Parsons. The book is out on how to neutralize him. He’s not making the plays he was his first two seasons and he’s not showing up in critical games against quality teams.

Yeah I’ve heard all that before. It’s the same propaganda the FO always sells. “We can’t afford, we can’t afford”. It’s all ******** lies from the Jones’ boys.

No offense but sell that propaganda to somebody else.

Other teams all a cross the league manage to sign star players and still field viable rosters. The cowboys could too if the FO wasn’t pathetic at their jobs.

He’s not making our defense better and has been a virtual no show so far this season. He’ll be looking for close to $40 million per season next year. He’ll be a training camp holdout. He only has one sack in our first 3 games and opponents have figured out how to neutralize him. He’ll be lucky to have double digit sacks this season with teams running the ball all day. He’s not making as many eye popping plays as he did his first couple of seasons and he continues to wear down. It’s just been reported our run defense is the worst through 3 games in the last 60 years in the NFL. Parsons says he only wants to play until he’s 30. He’s talking about being in the Olympics in four years. He doesn’t love football. We need to see what kind of haul we could get for him in a trade. We need to build the DL with a solid DT and add a quality RB.
What would you consider a “haul”? And what teams would you suggest would be interested?
