Travis Frederick update?

I expect him to return once doctors feel he is ready and symptoms are gone. I don't think you can put any real time table on this.

He has been working at the Star 4 days a week in the weight room and getting in overall work 6 days a week. Still has numbness in hands and feet but he and his doctors are seeing progress. This was the report back on Oct 5th. Could not post link due to a certain media outlet not allowed at this sight.

HE'S NOT PLAYING in 2018 unless we somehow make the playoffs...and even then its a longshot. Truth is, football may not be in his future ever again. I think its a fools journey to expect him back at all honestly. The mindset of Dallas will be to plan as if he wont be here next year come draft time and free agency. Its just the brutal truth of this business.

I knew the season was over when Freddie couldn't play. There is just no way this team can overcome an injury to anyone..

He won't make any progress until he has beaten the symptoms which have not happened yet if he still doesn't have feeling.

I go by what he is saying not other people opinion. I can't say he will not be ready late in the season or not and neither can anyone else. Fact is he has been working out lifting weights at the Star, not an opinion a fact based on what Frederick himself has said. He also has said he is making progress but still has some numbness in feet and hands. According to him and his doctors he is making progress again not an opinion a fact based on what he has to say.

LIKE I SAID...HE AINT COMIN BACK. If he does, we still cannot count on him being there each week...furthermore, being that stud olineman we all loved. Reality may be stranger than fiction. We must get used to Joe Looney..he is the future at center going forward...and it could be much worse. Looney is fine by me.

It basically says he is doing light work and can do free weights which could mean the 5 lbs ones my wife uses when she works out.
Ok, two things. One, a freeweight doesn't mean it's light. A bench press is a free weight, if he was only using machines I'd be far more concerned, because that means he has no muscle stability. Two, I'm just refuting the idea that his rehab hasn't even starter. Clearly it has, since he was lifting - even if it was light - almost 2 months ago.

This is based on absolutely nothing.

So when do you think he comes back? I hope this year but I don't think so at all.
I don't know. Nobody knows, guessing is a fool's game at this point.

The only thing I would think is that Schlereth is a bad comparison, b/c he found it way late, and TFred found it early before it had really progressed, so I'd be surprised if he didn't play next year.
