Well, duh.

The entire play is Lance carving teams up in the preseason and then netting us a pick. Of course he is going to be the number 2 (at least in PS).
What QB's got traded for picks after a good pre-season???

In other words, Trey, if you impress us, we'll keep you and trade Cooper.

If you don't, we'll be cutting you to save the $5m, unless you're willing to re-work some things.
Trade Cooper Rush!?? :lmao: :lmao:

Must be that Eye Test!!!:laugh::facepalm::lmao2:

Dak has never "won" a QB competition in his life.

He has always got the job by default because of injuries to the starter.

You never know.
He’s never been a good practice QB. However, it says something that the starters never got their job back once he got on the field. That’s how Kurt Warner, Tom Brady and many other QBs got their starting jobs. It’s all about making the most of your opportunity.

That ought to be a good battle, seeing as how Cooper Rush has already outplayed Dak as a starter.
Maybe the coaches will learn something.
The fairy tale universe you guys live in is weird.

how did Dak do in the CCG and SB? Taking your to OT and scoring first in OT is crap, if that was Dak it would have been a magical performance and the defense lost the game. Any body here believe Dak and the Cowboys score more than 6 points in that game? It’s ok to be a Dak Stan but come on Purdy has accomplished more in 2 years than Dak in 8, sorry just the way it is to this point.
Purdy accomplished more because the 49ers were simply a better team. The 49ers, unlike the Cowboys, actually shut down their opponents in the 2nd half which let Purdy’s better play in the second half mean something. That is the reason the 49ers made it to the Super Bowl.

If you're asserting that for March 2, 2024, yes, we're basically agreed on that.

If you're asserting that for August 2, 2024, when some teams are either beginning to realize that Plan A for their QB position isn't working out, or just as typically, Plan A went down with an injury...

No, he will have trade value to some degree at that time. It happens every year. The question is only how much comparable talent other teams are putting on the market, if any.
You are going to maybe get a 7th, possibly 6th round comp, in the best case. The only value he has is if some loses their backup for the season and wants a cheap fill in. Nobody is going to bring him in to start.

Ridiculous
That's what many of us think when you spout out
"12-5". Like it's good enough. It doesn't mean squat
when you're down 20-0 at home in the 2nd quarter
of a playoff game and throw a pick-6.

This is what is wrong with this clown organization. Lance should be competing with Dak for #1. Don’t extend Dak I have a good feeling that Lance with this offensive system will thrive.

You know why the starters never got their job back once Dak got on the field?

For one, Romo was done, and for two, Dak has never had any real competition once he took over for Romo. So how could a starter get their job back when Dak got on the field.

However, Romo could have taken his job back once he healed up and was cleared by the medical staff, but JJ and Garrett did not let him get it back.

Now, I know what you and others will say since you guys can see into the future and will say Romo would have gotten hurt again, but you don't know that because he never had the chance to see if he would have got injured again.

Lance could not beat out Sam Darnold last year (who is not a top 40 QB) and now he supposedly can compete with someone who is going to be again ranked top 10? He has to actually show he is a top 40 QB before trying to compete with a top 10 starter.
