True, but at least there was a fighters chance with Zack on his right or Tyler to his left. Now he can just toss McGovern aside as well.

Oh no, together they will at least slow him down by .0045 seconds. :p

In all seriousness, McG actually plays with some power. I'm not saying that a bull like Vea won't get the better of him but he's better than a lot of folks make out.

Last year's version of TB worries me more. Hopefully he has improved.

Playing musical chairs with the OL is how you wreck the entire line.

I don't even disagree with this statement however I will also say this. Sometimes life throws you curveballs. If you determine that your best 5 are best suited to play in a particular order, then I would put them there and live with the short term pain. Half measures are almost assuredly just going to prolong the pain. Its a long season, might as well try to find real answers not just weekly talking points.

Yep, a few times last year he got put on his a** like backyard football dunking the center, lol. Back in the day.
Definitely need more than a speed bump type presence by him.

McGovern at LG instead of Tyler makes THAT position worse also.

They cannot tell us that Waletzko or Ball is better than several available free agents.

They probably have to cut one of those two if they go that route and don't want to.

Yet another case of overrating their own players.

Issac is the best LG option period.

It's the 2nd best option amongst many bad options here.

1) Sign Fisher or someone like him is the preferable option
2) Start Smith
3) Start Ball

Ewww.

Is Fisher or whoever signed will be in game shape ? How long that will take , it will be bummer , if that person goes down with injury because of conditioning after a series or two …..

Noone from the team has said it but it's expected? Expected by who?

Pap expected Dak to be released in favor of Dalton. What did it mean? Is any of this information official?

This is going to be fun to watch. Kid was a project coming out of college especially at tackle. Then on top of that has taken what a weeks worth of reps at the position in rookie camp. This coaching staff and front office is a joke

Yeah but I see that as a complete non starter. They won't even consider it.

Well, maybe they will if Dak gets absolutely murdered in the first few games.

I’m saying that they most definitely should consider it.

Steele is already a question mark for me. You move Martin from his side it could be a disaster. Playing musical chairs with the OL is how you wreck the entire line.

It’s not close to ‘musical chairs’. That’s a false claim. They would be moving exactly ONE PLAYER. One of their best players and clearly their best offensive lineman. One who has played the position.

A far as injury; the movements are different playing of the left side & playing tackle. Martin got injured for like the first time in his career last time we made him move.

You can’t support that claim because it’s simply not true.

He also spent the entire camp at guard for a reason too
true.
but also took reps at left tackle before that.
he himself has said he feels more comfortable at tackle...its what he's used to.
he wasn't drafted to be a guard his entire stint here.
they may have wanted to initiate him at guard this season but this league has a way of tearing up your plans.
i'm excited for him.

I wouldn't count Fisher as a bad option tbh. He is slightly better than mediocre, but Im not going to discount a guy that had played LT during 6 playoff games in 2 years. That tells me that even though you are average, you can still hold your own at the highest level
