Farinok is going to start at LG.
Not a chance brother, but appreciate the thought!

This team preaches best 5 and has shown it under Mike. Farniok is not better than the 5 man lineup mentioned in the OP.

We heard the same about Gallup.

I’ll believe it when I see it.
Yeah but we saw 0 footage of Gallup. Anything you saw was very low impact.

Steele has being doing real OL drills and been looking like he was never hurt. I saw him working with Duke a month ago was like “is this guy even hurt?”.

Nothing makes me feel better than a guy doing real high impact drills on the knee.

agreed. Tyron won’t stay healthy. Maybe the great Waletzko takes a big leap
along with chuma and ball to battle with Farinok etc in camp

FANS TAKE NOTE...

September is 5months from now,

the draft isnt the last of roster building , there's no deadline but what the SB.. teams trade add cut and churn the roster all year.. given 5 months to go, lots of VET FA are available now and more so once cuts happen ..trades also can happen this roster isnt set by any stretch of the imagination and making claims as if what we are now is what we will be a month into the season is premature.

The plan sucks
Tyler is your future LT and should be at LT
Tyrone at his age should be swing. I like Wally but prefer a swing to be a guy that’s actually played a snsp
Tyrone’s real value is having him when you need him because he’s very unlikely to play 17 games and when he goes down then you have to move two positions

Put your best on the damn field!! This is pathetic!

And when Tyron gets hurt, which he will, then what?

You move Tyler to LT and LG sucks again. Or do you hope like hell Waletzko can play OT or OG?

When the Cowboys take risks at positions - WR (twice), DT - thinking they have enough or can patchwork it with bodies, it blows up in their face.
Waletzko is your swing when Tyron gets hurt.

If there’s concern it should be about swing T, not LG. But again they’ve seen Waletzko in their building for over a year now. So if they’ve evaluated him being a solid swing then all bases are covered.

The “risk” would be swing T, not LG like we all are clamoring for.

You cant trust Tyron for longer than maybe a two game stretch

Total dud of a 2nd round pick taking a TE when we have two young competitive TEs already in the roster who were flashing over the franchise tagged TE we had

Can we stop freaking out about drafting a day 1 starter at LG? The team has shown under McCarthy they are a “best 5” OL team. This means our starters on paper will be:

Smith/Smith/Tyler B/Martin/Steele

Had the team wanted Tyler at LT and Tyron/Steele on the bench they would’ve prioritized a LG. If there’s anything this team drafts for it’s need.

You get Farniok and Chuma as your IOL depth and Waletzko as your 4th T. With multiple injuries Tyler Smith would slide out to T while Farniok/Chuma/day 3 draft pick would battle it out to be the first one in if there’s an issue on the IOL.

The key is Waletzko being the swing I think he can be and the team says he can be. If so we are fine at OL.

T’s: Smith, Smith, Steele, Wally
G’s: ZM, Smith, Chuma, Farniok, (day 3 pick)
G/C: Tyler B, Farniok

Is that not a deep OL? Again, you have to see it from the lense that Tyler Smith is starting which all signs are pointing to. With a draft pick that’s 11 OL.
Fully agree if that’s actually the plan.

Last I heard they didn’t want to move Tyler off LT. That makes sense on a certain level but it would prevent the best five from happening if everyone is healthy.

What makes me nervous about the OL is Tyron for reasons we are aware of but also Steele; he is coming off of a injury.

Agreed. The panic over LG seems over the top. They have a clear cut top 5 olineman, that will be the starting 5. Depth can be developed. Not overly impressed with glimpses of Ball, but Waletzko, Chuma, and Farniok will have every opportunity to seize roles 6-9 on the oline

You literally made this exact same post last year at this time about WR.

And you were wrong. They did nothing, the season came and halfway through they realized what most fans did 6 months earlier - they were short at WR.

You think the cowboys bench a HOF LT who just stonewalled Nick Bosa last time he was on the field?
People are insane.

Also Edoga is mediocre. People acting like he’s the solution, LOL.

So what happen when Tyron Smith is injured in Week 2? And Steele is coming off knee surgery and might not be ready for Week 1.....then what?
LOL, then it's time to panic. This FO is insane. Over values the crap they have at backup spots on the OL. We will be reliving this nightmare in TC when bodies start falling and then have to sift through the rubble again.

Tyler is left tackle. Tyron is either rt or swing tackle .
they are not pushing a healthy steele to the bench as swing doubt that.. no matter what you heard, not happening IMHO our run game too major hit when steel got hurt, we need him back in.

Think you nailed considering how this draft is going. This makes sense of why the OL isn't being addressed.
