The difference came down to having actual talent replace Tyreke Hill. Let’s not pretend like Dak hasn’t had success with guys he shouldn’t have. Dak made the most out of guys like Gallup, Cobb, Schultz, Brice Butler, Jarwin, etc.
I'm not sure how many from that group had a ton of unexpected success? I'll give you Gallups 2019, that may be the ceiling for a guy like him, and to be honest Daks deep throws seem to feed right in to what a healthy Gallup's style. Randall Cobb had some phenomenal years with Green Bay including a 90/1200/12 season so his 50/800/3 season wtih Dallas didn't lead me to think he did above and beyond what should have been expected with the Cowboys. Brice Butler never had more than 20 catches in a season with the Cowboys so I'm not sure he helps with the validity of this list. The TEs are arguable. Personally, I think they're better players than we give them credit for, but can see the argument that Daks style and maybe even the system they played in elevated their numbers.

And a lot of us pointed out the folly of how the cowboys addressed the WR position shortly after the draft last year. Very few were happy on the return from the Amari Cooper trade that sent him to Cleveland for peanuts. But nobody predicted gallup would be so ineffective this year and a shadow of his former self.
Literally tons of people predicted Gallup would be ineffective.

Oh my gosh. I forgot about that one. There are so many it is EASY to forget sometimes
Unfortunitely, yes, their list of blunders is quite long.
When you have little to no accountability this kind of stuff goes on unchecked.
I feel confident to say that we are never winning another SB with these 2 in charge.
The NFL is too competitive to have this kind of disadvantage and have much, if any, post season success.

It’s all about Mahomes and Andy Reid.

The names at WR do not matter. He’s that good.

IMO, he’s the most talented QB of all time and I’ve been saying that for years.
Oh, the other players still matter. When Mahommes had everyone + Hill, but his OL sucked, he failed badly in the playoffs. Mecole Hardman is a speedy playmaker, and in addition to all the FA receivers, Mahommes has the best TE in the game, and that’s his go to guy.

They lost in the Super Bowl lol.

Patrick Mahomes is widely known as the best quarterback in the league so why did choose a different strategy when they traded Hill than the Cowboys when trading Cooper?

They traded Hill and added JuJu, MVS in free agency then drafted Sky Moore in the 1st round and traded for Kadarius Toney during the season.

Those 4 players combined for 156 receptions 2041 yards and 8 touchdowns.

The Cowboys traded Cooper for a 5th rounder and added TY, Turpin and Washington in free agency, drafted Tolbert and Houston (udfa).

Those players combined for 12 receptions for 182 yard and 0 touchdowns.

Dak has his issues but this was a massive failure of the front office.
You're comparing the Chiefs 1, 2, 3, 4 WRs to the Cowboys 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 WRs.

Comparing top 4 WRs:

Chiefs (your numbers)
Rec Yds TD
156 2041 8

Cowboys
Rec Yds TD
196 2410 19

No one forced the Cowboys to bring in the players that they brought in. Could they have signed JuJu and MVS? The answer is yes. If the Cowboys would’ve signed them CeeDee #1, JuJu #2, MVS #3 and Noah Brown or Toney as the number #4. That would’ve been better than what we had.

Thats BS. I'm here all year. Sure there is always a few but thats hardly the majority. When the team awards a contract that size, it is acting on information directly from the doctors involved in the treatment. There was ZERO reason to think Gallup would be as bad as he was this year.

I agree and the OL performance was bad. However, Dak should not have lost to a rookie QB by turning the ball over 2 times giving up 6 points in and 19-12 game.

That is on Dak. Protect the darn ball Romo. Oh I mean Dak.

Well with Cobb and Coop….they got here because they were struggling in their teams prior. We signed Cobb for 5 million…..then be signed a 30 million dollar leaving here. Hasn’t been as good since leaving here. Cooper was just as good leaving here but struggled before getting here.

I'm not saying Dak made these guys. But the stats say these guys were better with Dak than their previous stop. These guys are not elevating him like people are trying to say.

Dak is not elite. Dak is not mahomes. Mahomes is a HOFer in the making. why are you comparing Dak to Mahomes?

and how do we get a mahomes? sounds like you got penu$ envy...or is it QB envy...Mahomes doesn't grow on trees. there is no 1-800-ELITEQB number to call and order one. I looked through amazon and couldn't find any Elite QBs. Ebay came up empty and so did craigslist. so find me one please. tell us who in this year's draft is the next mahomes and we go get one.

The Cowboys 1 thru 4 WRs had much better stats than the Chiefs 1 thru 4 WRs.

Point #1:
Your attempt to compare stats was faulty regardless of what the Cowboys did or did not do in free agency.

Point #2:
Mahomes is better than Dak. He is better than most or possibly all QBs in 2022. The Chiefs WRs are not the reason the Chiefs were better than the Cowboys.

Mahomes with the Cowboys 2022 roster would beat the Dak with the Chiefs roster.
