Ultimate Leonard Davis Sucks Thread (MERGE)

I love how so many people on this board are acting like Dockery is a freaking pro-bowler. The Skins let him go and that team never lets anyone worth keeping escape their wrath. Give me a break. Steinbach on the other hand is a very good player but many say he does not possess certain skills to play tackle and that he belongs are guard. Well if Davis can play both positions that is a BIG plus for Dallas and having o-linemen who can play more than one position is good news that we're staying in line with some Parcells logic.

I am really hoping Davis plays Guard. I have been wanting a BIG, PHYSICAL, Knock you back Guard fro a long time. Someone who can open holes, move people, and wear defenses down. To me Davis fits that bill, but there is all of this talk about him being lazy. I do not know if that is true or not.

But here is what I am hoping.

Davis is a Texan, grew up watching the Cowboys, is a fan. If that is not motivation enough I do not know what is. Davis now has his dream, TO BE A DALLAS COWBOY.

Plus he is now not in Arizona. Who has been good there, actually he has been pretty decent in Arizona, that says a lot in it self.

We will see, but it has to be a ton better than watching Rivera always sitting in either our RB or QB laps.

Gurode's deal looked huge last week. We got the #s and saw it was really a 4 year 18 mill deal -- relatively small money.

I saw on another board 7 years $75 million, not official though.

The key is in the contract breakdown vs the other OG's.......Dallas appears to have overpaid, but Davis can play two positions of need...

THANK YOU...some people on this board don't seem to realize that. How many of the other guards can play two positions. Just that fact alone means that you can take another position on game day.

1) We always pick the wrong guy when there are multiple choices or we pay a guy way more than his talent deserves. Vandy, Rivera, Kosier, B.James...add Davis to that list.

2) Chance on a winning team? A professional with a strong work ethic should give 100% every game...even if his team is in the cellar.

I would have been OVER JOYED TO GIVE THIS KIND OF MONEY TO STEINBACH. Davis has underperformed his entire professional career. And anyone think he can handle the speed rushers at tackle need to watch some games where he tried. Realisitically, no one that big can handle those really quick guys.
