I don't mean to be defending Dak, but did we ever have the team capable of getting to a SB with Dak? With Romo I think we had that team in 2007 and in 2014. But I don't believe we had a good enough team while Dak has been the QB.

In the playoffs it's not that easy for any QB to lead an inferior team to victory.

In 2016 with Romo. . . With Dak? . . . No Never

For the Cowboys to win the SB it is going to require the defense to play like the 2000 Baltimore Ravens defense. Expecting Dak to lead this team to a SB would be like expecting Trent Dilfer to lead the Ravens team to a SB without that defense. Isn't going to happen.

I think we have a shot with the 2002 Bucs D. Or the 2013 Seahawks D.

"Undisputed" is approaching its sixth anniversary (Sep 6th 2916). I'm about 90% sure in their show's run, Sharpe and Bayless have never went a week without a discussion about the Cowboys. And I don't watch the show. I have a friend who regularly tunes in; he'll send me a text when the duo debate about the team/their game - Jones- Prescott...or when talk on the phone about sports...he'll bring it up.

Shannon lobbied for Dak to get paid 42 mil a year. Now he is admitting that was a waste of money. Most agree Dak does not have it in him to take this team to the next level.

He lobbied for 42 for 2 reasons: 1)So he’d have easy material to generate click$. “Look what those idiots did in Dallas” is a best seller. 2)A big contract would hurt them cap wise, preventing a good support system. Easy “I told you so’s” for Horseface.

Prescott and the team have failed when stepping up in competition.

There are many question marks going into the season.

But with the past history and question marks left to be answered we are supposed to believe this team can win a championship.

I will need to see it to believe it. And these questions and doubts won't be answered till January, no matter how good Prescott and the team play during the regular season.

I wouldn’t start talking SuperBowl till Dallas reaches the NFC Championship game.

To win a Super Bowl in the modern NFL, you need a superstar QB or a QB that goes on a tear in the playoffs, ala Flacco and Eli Manning. I think Prescott could do that, though I’d rather have a superstar QB.

Danny white went to super bowl and has a fabulour playoff recored 20-13. dak is nowhere close to ever touching that .
Vick had the talent but not sure how we can interpret his career after his imprisonment.
Romo and dak are being compared now but would bet many coaches would take romo over dak . he was simply better at reading defenses and was a better passer.
