marino went to a super bowl i think in his first year and faced montana in the super bowl. don't think we can compare dak to marino.
Danny white went to super bowl and has a fabulour playoff recored 20-13. dak is nowhere close to ever touching that .
Vick had the talent but not sure how we can interpret his career after his imprisonment.
Romo and dak are being compared now but would bet many coaches would take romo over dak . he was simply better at reading defenses and was a better passer.

Agreed. We're too weak in the trenches for a SB, both offense and defense. Neither Dak nor any other QB could overcome that weakness. Naturally Pappy wants to blame it ALL on Dak as usual, but until we improve in the trenches we can only go just so far and that's it.
If your offense can't run and your defense can't stop the run, you're in trouble no matter who the QB is. The key is TRENCHES.

I didn't like that contract then and I don't like it any better now, but if you can't win in the trenches you're not likely to win period.

I'm all for players trying to make as much money as they can. So, I supported Zeke and Dak's quest to get as much money as they possibly could. That doesn't mean Jerry has to pay it.
In fact, I don't think Jerry should have paid either one the amount they were looking for.
So you can do both and not be at odds or in contradiction.

I don't mean to be defending Dak, but did we ever have the team capable of getting to a SB with Dak? With Romo I think we had that team in 2007 and in 2014. But I don't believe we had a good enough team while Dak has been the QB.

In the playoffs it's not that easy for any QB to lead an inferior team to victory.

OF COURSE I’m not saying “lesser QB’s” have never made a play that made a difference. All I’m saying is I know he’s as good as several guys that have played in a SB.

Nope. I absolutely loved Tony Romo. I think he was better than Dak by a good amount. My point was that we had the teams, and I gave the years. But other teams want to win too. Just because you have the team doesn't mean you're going to win. I'm not blaming Romo for anything.

It's hard to explain. Just because you have a team capable of going to the SB, doesn't mean you will get there. Other teams want that too and will compete against you. I just don't think we've had those teams with Dak.

It is and always has been, but the problem is we are the Dallas Cowboys, we don't do trenches in Big D.
We are all about stats and highlight reels.

I'm heading out in a bit for the first nighttime walleye trip of the summer. Ideal conditions for a moonlit troll. If we don't catch anything, I'm blaming Dak.

Hope you had success, trolling is a beautiful experience.
Its the time that I actually get to kick back and enjoy the entire experience, have a few beers and catch the big fellas.
The big brooders like to cruise the shallows at night, just keep that in mind, one last tip I have noticed particularly this season, is that nights with full moon seem to be especially awesome.
Ive been keeping a fishing journal for over 25 years now, and maybe someday Corso will contact me and write a book or something.
