Undisputed - Skip: Dak vs Wentz vid

I'm just glad that Dak doesn't have any pressure. I appreciate Shannon for pointing out that playing the marquee position in ALL pro sports can't compare to following Jeff Garcia, Doug Pederson, Ty Detmer, Nick Foles, old Michael Vick, Matt Barkley and Sam Bradford.

I'm not liking Shannon Sharpe on this show. I don't think he is a good fit.

This is the one aspect of Skip that disgusts me, admittedly (for whatever that's worth to you). I really wish that statement wasn't associated with Skip, dishonoring one of our most beloved players. It's a shame, but it is what it is.

There's a difference between CREATING a rumor and reporting on it. In Dallas at the time, because Troy wasn't responding to numerous women who were throwing themselves at him, yes, some idiots would spread rumors that he was gay. It was done out of rank jealousy, seeing a guy turn down hot women that they would have loved to have sex with. In one of his books, Skip relates having witnessed one of these incidents himself, a bartender who watches Aikman in friendly but firm way turn down the eager advances of an extremely attractive Cowboys groupie and the bartender goes "OK, that's it. He's gay."

It's the same kind of facile, stupid reasoning you see people engage in when Dez has only 1 catch for 8 yards in a season opener. "OK that's it - guy's a scrub!" A lot of guys in the Dallas area were ALREADY moved to insane levels of jealousy seeing the attention players get from women. The stories about debauchery of the 'White House' and some players scoring several dozen groupies in just a few weeks, we've all heard them.

Right in the middle of that the star QB isn't 'partaking' of any of this. He's opting out. Naturally, stupid people seize on the most facile of reasons to 'explain' why Aikman wasn't doing what they would do, which would've been to enthusiastically screw every attractive Cowboy's groupie they could get their hands on.

It was a real rumor and it was floating around Dallas at the time. Skip didn't create it, but in reporting it in his book he did publicize what was a local rumor. Maybe he shouldn't have done that, but that's another topic.

Skip is annoying to listen to with his hitting of the desk and his over the top inflections in his voice, even when he's praising the Cowboys or their players.

Some of these types of guys on these types of shows are just so annoying that there comes time when you completely agree with a specific point or opinion they make and you still want to back hand them just for being annoying. Whether it is Skip, SAS, Rome and some of the others in that same type.

So they could be in front of you and lay out a well made argument and you say....Well yes I agree with you 100% but I still find you to be a slimey and annoying rat so ...bam back hand to the face.

And that is why a lot people watch them. The good ol' "hate watch"

A large portion of their viewership is for the very reason you cited.

Which is pretty stupid when you stop and think about it.

Why would I as a viewer, stop and waste my time watching two idiots I hate verbally duke it out to a scripted WWE format show? Anyone in their right minds would not.

Media loves talking all I care about is the job Dak does for the Cowboys? I am very happy about the play of this young man and while the so called Window is getting smaller for guys like Romo and Witten, Dak has opened the window up wide for this franchise and it's future and all it cost the Cowboys was a 4th rd pick.

Well, speaking for myself, I like the show. I love that they focus a large part of their show on our franchise (regardless if a portion of it is hyperbole, sometimes it isn't).

Just pointing out that a large demographic of their viewers do, indeed, hate watch the show. They know it (the networks) and often times, they pander to it.

I'm definitely not above noticing that. :)

As I predicted last week.. The comparisons were coming between the two.

C'mon, Catch........A monkey could've predicted that.

Wait til they play.............it'll be enough to make ya puke.

I'll know how the Manning family felt when Eli and Peyton played each other...

Dak has been great, but Wentz is better. No only is he rookie of year right now, but could be in MVP conversation. I wish Cleveland drafted him. I feel we are going to be like the Bengals are to the Steelers. We are good, they are better. Remember hearing on the broadcast how Garrett was discussing plays on chalkboard. Prescott was the 2nd best to explain it. Who was first? Wentz.

Tell us what you really think, Eagle's nation.

Keeping your post count up at Bleeding Green Nation these past few weeks? I've noticed you've spent more time here lately.

I'm not above noticing that, but then again, I'm self aware :) (not a dig at you, BP)

No problem...we have differing opinions on the guys.

Just not my cup of tea and I do find it irritating that it seems to be the standard now for sports shows.

There was a time when I would watch all of the NFL shows on Sunday mornings. Would be switching between the different ones hoping to get all the NFL talk I can get.

During the week you would hope to see certain shows that might cater more about NFL football vs the others sports.

Now you get this kind of crapola.

Two idiots that are basically a sports version of a Maury Povich or Jerry Springer show...it might be slightly entertaining at first, but after you see the same thing over and over and over I just don't see how any one can still watch it.

But...to each his own.

Hey - who is the guy in your picture?

Dak has been the best qb in the league in 3rd down. Wentz has a much better defense, and when the offense gets the ball, he gets better field position.

QBR stats, Dak is #2 behind Jimmy Garoppolo.

#2. Dak 87.2
#13 Wentz 68.9
