Dude........I'm not happy today either but let's look at the facts

1. The cowboys were one of the 4 best teams in the NFC

And that plus $1 will get you a cup a coffee

2. Our offense was highly rated

Until we played Minnesota

3. Our defense were highly rated

Until we played Minnesota

4. We have had some really good young talent start showing up

Uh-huh...and then guess what? That's right, we played Minnesota.

While I was hoping for some magic wand that would make everything better as well.........We aren't some average to bad team

Yep, you're right. As long as we're not playing Minnesota

It's not so much that they lost this game it's how they lost. It's how they always seem to lose their most important games. It's always some ESPN Highlight horror film that haunts us all offseason. Starting with Romo's bobble under BP to this 34-3 butt kicking. This team needs a harder attitude, and you can only get this from the people running it. Wade Phillips is a good defensive cordinator and a bad head coach. We'll never win with him at the helm. That's why I never got swept up in the "Believe" thing because I know under Wade the ride ends early and it's gonna be ugly.

I hope and pray that I'm wrong going forward with Wade as HC.

It's odd to feel like Wade deserves to be retained, yet be disappointed at the same time.

I just think there are coaches who can only go so far...there's one out in San Diego like that.

Good solid coaches, who top out short of the championship.

I'm hoping to be very wrong.

I kindof agree with this. Today i had the thought of...wow, winning a Super Bowl is really hard...impossible it seems.

At least we have our imaginations.

People are saying we are now the 1991 Cowboys.

Come on. This team looks and has acted more like the 80's teams over the last five seasons.

Good, but not great. And not even close to winning a championship.

The coaching is supposed to give the Cowboys some sort of advantage in the playoffs. But instead it piled on with the poor play with those horrendous decisions.

The FG choice. Witten against Allen. Newman still not rerouting his WR's which is just him ignoring his coaching and then not being called on it. The idea that you give Barber the ball on a toss sweep while leaving Edwards unblocked instead of having Felix or Choice in on that play.

And some of these are Garrett's fault. But these things should have never made it into the game because the head coach should have seen it during the week and made some changes.

But it's going to be the same again. Nothing is changing as far as how Wade and Garrett coach.

I wanted them both gone.

And now what for 2010. If we don't get home field next season we are supposed to accept one playoff win and then a loss. Like teams never win road games in the playoffs?

And progress?

The Jets have made more progress in one season than the Cowboys have made since Romo fumbled that snap in Seattle.

The bar has been lowered. It is what it is.

So Jim Reeves "retirement" was really just a move to ESPN Dallas. You can't make this stuff up.

That's what I said.

I wonder if he's just doing some freelance stuff as opposed to being a weekly column writer.

But I thought he was retiring as in meaning he was gone from the scene.

I know everybody is wearing knee pads for Rex right now, however if Indy doesnt pull their starters and tank a perfect season, Rex is sitting home watching the playoffs.

Just saying.

If you read his farewell column at the FWST, he certainly gives the impression that he's leaving the business for good. Guess not.

I dunno, i have hope every season but i just don’t think the Cowboys will win another Super Bowl. LOL. We had almost no injuries and still nada. We had momentum and it ment nothing really. How do you improve for next season? How? Williams isnt going anywhere so that same crap will continue. Like you said, maybe hope for home field advantage and no injuries. LOL. Hard for me to stay positive when i dont see any answers.

Help!

None of problems were mentioned when we were on a 4 game winning streak. Now with the playoff loss everyone wants Wade gone and it's wrong, it really is. He's done a great job, especially with a defense that had 5 new starters and an offensive coordinator who isn't consistent. What Wade needs is an offensive coordinator who he TRUSTS and can relate to. Is it me or does it feel like we have two head coaches? The players are looking for THEE coach that is the leader, but they seem confused. Wade needs to take control this offseason, get rid of Garrett (obviously if Jerry allowed) and get a coordinator who he is comfortable with that can use this talent well on a consistent basis.

It has to be true, the site would not report it otherwise. Jerry just wants to announce it on his own time, this must be infuriating him

In his last article didn't he reference riding off into the sunset like Blackie Sherrod? Just walk up to the Editor and announce you are done and go?

This isn't even in the same category.

Too funny.

Just saying.

And yet in his first season as a HC he'd still have more playoff wins than Wade. And still have more than Jerry in the last 13 years.

Just saying.
