USC vs ND

He looked even better when he coached in NE.

He'll be back in the pros...'dream situation' or not at USC.

My guess is he's waiting for the just right op.

I wouldnt bet on that, he has his swimming pools full of cash and recruits the top talent in the country. Going back to the NFL is just begging for disapointment as far as Carroll is concerned.

He was having a down year (for his standards anyway) and I was hoping he'd drop closer to us so we could trade up a few spots and not give up a fortune to get him.

So much for that happening.
He had a 3-4 game stretch where he was non-existent, but he's looked great other than that. Not bad for having a first year QB throwing to you.

with ND's defense this might as well be a 40 pt lead by USC, no chance that ND comes back because of them

You may be right..but I think Pete is a different kind of guy from a Lou Holtz, who flush realized he was not suited to coach in the pros.

I think Pete still harbors a desire to make things right re his pro coaching rep.

He won't come close to the #s he put up last year, especially in the td department.

Of course he won't. Stats are irrelevant though. He's tall, fast, and snatches the ball from the air with his hands. He might not ever be a dominant receiver in the NFL but I'd take him as my #1 WR.

That said, Quinn has looked absolutely incompetent this entire game.

Sure wish Dwayne Jarrett would be there in the latter half of round one. After Calvin Johnson goes, he's next in line with Ted Ginn and is looking like a top 15 prospect.

Whoever started the Quinn for Heisman bandwagon should be shot in the face. I dont think I have ever seen a more overrated college player. Completely mediocre. He has been ND's best player, but thats like picking out your favorite log in the toilet bowl after a succesful #2.

I agree w/ you. It's all about the combine. I was still hoping the drop off in #s would help him slide a bit and elevate the likes of Ginn and that kid from SC, pushing him lower and closer to us. Don't think it'll happen, especially after tonight.

No doubt, i hate USC but man i love Jarrett's speed and size!!! he's a guy i'm hoping that Dallas has a chance to get by trading up
We won't be doing any of that trading up stuff.

Lookin at these 2 overrated teams, i repeat that it makes me sad that Vince Young didnt come back for his senior year. Texas would have easily won the NC again this year and he would have easily won the Heisman trophy (it was a joke that he didnt win it last year!!!) Seriously the only person that should head to NY for the Heisman presentation is Smith no one else comes close to him. Seriously this is the weakest class in a very long time
