Don't forget..................All people are focusing on, with regard to Vick being a "problem child" is this last issue with the dog killing and prison, etc.........

But this guy has been a problem child since the get go, and the "doesn't play well with others" label has been around since he's been in college.

There's the drugs-at-the-airport thing, and several other drug-related rumours and coverups. He clearly had/has gang-related associations and issues. There's the "finger" incident, where' he was throwing the finger at his own fans. And, of course, there's chorus of critisizm about his play and style of play after the flower fell off the bloom his first couple years.

His first two or three years, he was an NFL darling. Exciting and innovative, the first QB to rush or 1,000 yards, all that. Then, the wheels fell off and they started to rightfully pick apart his game and his flaws and how maybe, this guy really isn't all that "prime time" to be a starting QB in the NFL. And he apparently couldn't take the heat. Then, this new kid from Boston College comes in and accomplishes EVERTHING that Vick ever did in Atlanta in his rookie year. Not good for Vick.

I think this guy was shot-out even before the dog incident ever happened. He was on the schnide already. All the Chris Berman-type mediots, who formally sang his praises, were running for cover for a couple/few seasons already.

In the final analysis, anything that Philly does will come up **** in the end anyway. They're cursed. McNabb, if he holds up to his previous performances, stands an over 70% chance of once again going down with some bum injury or another. He's too fat and cluncky and thick to be the "running" QB he thinks he is. And that usually leads to him getting the good wacking he deserves and lying on the field wallowing in all the "what are the Eagles going to do without McNubb" stuff he so loves.

They'll wheel out Kolb for a game or two, and then realize the umpteenth blown draft pick they got................AGAIN. Then, they'll be forced to stuff this has-been under center until he too, thinking he still has the legs he had in 2003, gets tracked down from behind by some Troy Palumanu and becomes a part of the turf.

And that should do it for yet ANOTHER blown year for the Philthydelphia Eggless.

Not to nitpick, but you're wrong. Vick led the Falcons to the NFC title game.

And damn I hate the Eagles, but dont just blindly drink the hatorade. They've been better than we have over the last several seasons, and beat us when it matters the most.

They at least deserve your respect.

NFC Title Game, NFC Schmidle Game..................whatever. Even a broken clock is right once a day.

This league is riddled with loser, non-Hall of Fame Qb's who've stumbled upon a Conference Championship game or two..........or five, like Little Donny McnNubb.

Another thing. The Eagles don't beat Dalllas "when it matters the most". The Eagles are the poster child for LOSING when it matters the most, no matter who it's against. Just so happens that YOU'RE buying into THEIR Hall of Honor. That being, beating the Dallas Cowboys in regular season or some divisional playoff game. Thats THEIR CRITERIA for accomplishment. That game last year, the last regular season game? That's already enrishined into the "The Top Five Greatest Eagle Moments of All Time". Because, that's all they got.

When you're a perrinial loser and can't ever win the big one, you vampire and blood suck off wins of the Dallas Cowboys. That's how low their miserable existence is. At least the Giants and Skins have a couple/three rings or whatever. But this bottom feeding/maggot eating lot? The best they'll EVER have is "yeah, but we beat Dallas in December in 2008".
LIke that year a couple years ago when the Saints beat Dallas in the regular season, and then carried on like they just won the SB or something. I'll not forget THAT either!

The Beagles are nothing more than glorified Saints or Seahawks. Losers dressed up to look all shiny, a little bling, and just enough winning to keep the kool-aid drinking vermin on board. And when it comes to the Beagles, I don't give a rats *** HOW LONG it's been since we've won a playoff game, or how they've showed-up the last decade.

NO RINGS!!! NADA!! ZERO!! ZILCH!!! That's short-hand for LOOOOOSERS!!

I'm sorry, but I just can't shut-up when it comes to Beagles..........

I will NEVER GIVE THEM ANY RESPECT or props.............EVER!

I don't care if they win (I know, I know, it'll never happen) 6 Super Bowl's, I'll find a way to pick holes in it and dismiss it.

Biased? Yeah. Agenda? You Betcha'. Blind Hate? Yeah, and proud of it.

I'm from Penna. Born and raised. And THAT was between 1960 and 1980, all the while a Cowboy fan. It was a living hell amongst that bottom feeding, maggot infested, puss filled, nasty, inhuman vermin that call themselves Eagle fans. The nastiest, most vile collection of human debri on the face of the Earth.

I'll NEVER give them or their team any respect, or concede any decency or anything good toward that rabble.

I'ts a perfect fit for them that they lowered themselves to pick up this maggot too. Perfect. All the more reason to hate the hell out of them.

I'm tellin' ya'...................Dallas is going to spank the beJesus out of them twice this year. And, if we're lucky, beat the snot out of them in the playoffs too. Anything less and I'll be disappointed.

The great thing about Vick signing with the Eagles is that I don't have to change who my most hated team is. Double dipping for the Eagles!

Lew's right, Vick is a ...dog ....of a qb. He's not very smart, played with mostly a half-field, one read and run gameplan. Good luck with anything else. Great athlete in the past, but not so hot as QB or a person. And I have a bit of skepticisim about those good-guy conversions that have millions of dollars riding on them.

I could compile a pretty big list of pedestrian QBs who managed to get to the NFC title game.

I do not understand this signing, and what teams are planning on getting out of Vick.

Does anyone really expect Vick to be able to be a backup QB after sitting out of football for 2 years. And the lining him up as a wildcat player makes since, until you notice that Vick couldn't stay healthy playing QB where he threw the ball most of the time, how is he supposed to stay healthy in a wildcat formation where he is running with the ball most of the time?

Let's see...

Consensus media preseason favorite for NFC Title.

Plagued by injuries the first week of camp.

Needless headaches and distractions by signing high profile headcase. AtESPN sends Sal Palantonio/Ed Werder to camp outside of their practices daily, worming their way into the lockerroom trying to create a newstory for the 6 PM Sportscenter.

Player tensions boiling under the surface caused by said nutcase signing.

High profile, high dollar free agent/trade aquisition looking like crap in preseason games.

If only they had the Hard Knocks cameras there,; it would almost be as though the Eagles took a page right out of Jerry's training camp handbook. All the tell tale are there for a massively disappointing season.

I thought the Eagles fans thing was to call Cowboys players criminals?

I guess hiring someone who murdered and gambled on the deaths of hundreds of innocent dogs is just OKAY for Philly. Woo Hoo !

Philly fans are so fake.

We now have the speed and quickness on D to shut them down if they pull the wildcat. Personally I would put Newman on him to shadow him no matter what he does. Then put Scandrick on Jackson, and Jenkins on Mccoy with Sensabaugh on Westbrook. There is no one else to really worry about and as lousy a passer as Vick is we have a great shot at an INT (assuming our guys figure out how to catch them). Newman is just as quick and fast as Vick and is a whole lot smarter.

Vick in a WCO?

Wha?
Not a bad fit, provided he learns how to trust his recievers and read a defense (I'm not holding my breath).

I'm not a fan of this move but I'm trying to see the positive, and hope for the best.

It's been 24 hours now, and after digesting some of this, hears my take....

Firstly, this story now supercedes the "Brady comeback" in the spotlight as the story of the year IMO. The Brady comeback was certainly THE NO. 1 intrugue and drama going into this season. I must've watched a dozen stories about his first pre-season game, how he did, etc............

Not any more.

Second, I think this was a great thing for Vick but not for the Beagles. Vick didn't need to land in some Minnesota or Oakland or Buffalo, where his services would have no doubt been called upon too early. If he was to be re-instated (which of course he was), the best thing for Vick would be to go to an established team, a veteran presence on that team, a seasoned coaching staff and organization, and a team with a legit shot of going to the playoffs.

As much as I hate them, the Eagles provided this landing cushion for Vick. Whether Vick is there or not, this Eagle team is who they are w/o Vick. That's good for Vick. It allows him to get re-introduced to the game at his pace, and no pressure on him to man-up and play up to his pre-conviction level.

In Philly, they have an established QB and Kolb and Feeney behind McNubb. Their defense is a perennial monster, always in the top 3 or 4 in the league. Their offense appears to have a couple/few weapons to utilize. Reid is an offensive HC. Offense-minded coaches just salivate at whatever weapons that are available. That's all they think about.............more weapons. Reid is the poster child for that.

All this ends with "what the hell, watta' we got to lose" with regard to this Vick experiment that has just begun. The down-side is that, this team is going to get heckled and molested at every stadium they visit this year. Maybe even a little bit at home too. But certainly, where ever the Eagles play on the road this year, especially IN Dallas, and IN Washington and IN NY, it's going to be a living hell. The Eagles also visit Atlanta in December, and that too will be a blood-letting.

Probably, this is the LAST thing any team wants, especially the Eagles. Their not the most well-loved team in the NFL, and this will only provide unruley fans and the mediot pundits ammo if they ANYTHING BUT PERFECT this season. It's an extra, added burden that an otherwise iffy franchise is going to have to deal with.

So, good for Vick, bad for the Eagles. Remember where you heard it first.
