But this guy has been a problem child since the get go, and the "doesn't play well with others" label has been around since he's been in college.
There's the drugs-at-the-airport thing, and several other drug-related rumours and coverups. He clearly had/has gang-related associations and issues. There's the "finger" incident, where' he was throwing the finger at his own fans. And, of course, there's chorus of critisizm about his play and style of play after the flower fell off the bloom his first couple years.
His first two or three years, he was an NFL darling. Exciting and innovative, the first QB to rush or 1,000 yards, all that. Then, the wheels fell off and they started to rightfully pick apart his game and his flaws and how maybe, this guy really isn't all that "prime time" to be a starting QB in the NFL. And he apparently couldn't take the heat. Then, this new kid from Boston College comes in and accomplishes EVERTHING that Vick ever did in Atlanta in his rookie year. Not good for Vick.
I think this guy was shot-out even before the dog incident ever happened. He was on the schnide already. All the Chris Berman-type mediots, who formally sang his praises, were running for cover for a couple/few seasons already.
In the final analysis, anything that Philly does will come up **** in the end anyway. They're cursed. McNabb, if he holds up to his previous performances, stands an over 70% chance of once again going down with some bum injury or another. He's too fat and cluncky and thick to be the "running" QB he thinks he is. And that usually leads to him getting the good wacking he deserves and lying on the field wallowing in all the "what are the Eagles going to do without McNubb" stuff he so loves.
They'll wheel out Kolb for a game or two, and then realize the umpteenth blown draft pick they got................AGAIN. Then, they'll be forced to stuff this has-been under center until he too, thinking he still has the legs he had in 2003, gets tracked down from behind by some Troy Palumanu and becomes a part of the turf.
And that should do it for yet ANOTHER blown year for the Philthydelphia Eggless.
Not to nitpick, but you're wrong. Vick led the Falcons to the NFC title game.
And damn I hate the Eagles, but dont just blindly drink the hatorade. They've been better than we have over the last several seasons, and beat us when it matters the most.
They at least deserve your respect.
