I'm glad we didn't sign him. The thing that is most annoying though is the hypocrisy that will now spew forth. If Dallas had signed Vick, we would be getting reamed by the media, yet Philly picks him up, and it is played off as a genius move.

You know Tom Jackson and Burman will spin it somehow.:puke:

i see Vick making a sizeable impact for the Eagles in the 2nd half of the season. Any of you "over the hill"ers care to make a friendly wager? 29 years old?.. sheesh... plenty of years left.

White Noise........................

So what?

Here's a guy who, since his stupid adventure and arrest and incarceration.............everyone to man agreed that IF HE EVER GETS TO PLAY AGAIN, would be a marginal side-show at best. Another Ricky Williams. A PacMan Jones. Tarnished, a mental wreck, and out of football shape for two years.

Now, all of a sudden, because he got some dip-**** franchise (and the Eagles are the poster-child dip-**** franchise) to sign him, we're all supposed to quake in our boots? What did he ever bring to Atlanta? Not much, that's what.

The up-side to this is that it WILL certainly have little Donny McNubb go beserk between the ears, do his usual pouting and "poor me" routine, and most likely continue with his prima-donna "you don't love me" tap dance.
He's been playing THAT card, him and his mammy, every since they rightfully booed his *** on draft day. He played this game during the T.O. affair as well.
He got his underwear all up his crack when Garcia spelled him and took the Beagles to an unlikely playoff berth too. He couldn't deal with all the ra-ra over Garcia and his team actually winning w/o him. He then re-introduced this little hissy-fit when they drafted Kolb.

Every move the Eagles make on offense, somehow it's some personal dig and attack on McNabbs status in Philly. It's all about little Donny and his fractured and fragile ego.

THIS Vick move should be good soap-opera along these lines. I predict, in the next week or two, that McNubb gets in front of some microphone and spews his usual dribble about not being respeced or appreciated in Philly, like he always does.

With regard to Vick, if he EVER does do anything in the NFL again worthy of worry to opponents, it won't be this season. Probably not next season either. Oh, he'll return a punt or two, maybe take a reverse, or be involved in some idiotic "wildcat" experiment in Philly. But he's too WAY out of football shape, both physically and mentally. He and McNubb won't be able to co-exist in Philly either.

Another episode of the Beagles imploding from within. No matter what they do or what their record is..........................they won't win a SB. AGAIN!! And McNubb will throw his team under the bus AGAIN, like he always does.

Not for a guy relying solely on athletic ability.

Is there any info about whether he stayed in shape or not? Even though he has played, he's been away from the game for a while now.

He might have been doing some running around in the showers escaping 'the blitz'.

But I doubt any of the 'trainers' he worked with inside helped him get NFL ready.

Don't forget..................All people are focusing on, with regard to Vick being a "problem child" is this last issue with the dog killing and prison, etc.........

But this guy has been a problem child since the get go, and the "doesn't play well with others" label has been around since he's been in college.

There's the drugs-at-the-airport thing, and several other drug-related rumours and coverups. He clearly had/has gang-related associations and issues. There's the "finger" incident, where' he was throwing the finger at his own fans. And, of course, there's chorus of critisizm about his play and style of play after the flower fell off the bloom his first couple years.

His first two or three years, he was an NFL darling. Exciting and innovative, the first QB to rush or 1,000 yards, all that. Then, the wheels fell off and they started to rightfully pick apart his game and his flaws and how maybe, this guy really isn't all that "prime time" to be a starting QB in the NFL. And he apparently couldn't take the heat. Then, this new kid from Boston College comes in and accomplishes EVERTHING that Vick ever did in Atlanta in his rookie year. Not good for Vick.

I think this guy was shot-out even before the dog incident ever happened. He was on the schnide already. All the Chris Berman-type mediots, who formally sang his praises, were running for cover for a couple/few seasons already.

In the final analysis, anything that Philly does will come up **** in the end anyway. They're cursed. McNabb, if he holds up to his previous performances, stands an over 70% chance of once again going down with some bum injury or another. He's too fat and cluncky and thick to be the "running" QB he thinks he is. And that usually leads to him getting the good wacking he deserves and lying on the field wallowing in all the "what are the Eagles going to do without McNubb" stuff he so loves.

They'll wheel out Kolb for a game or two, and then realize the umpteenth blown draft pick they got................AGAIN. Then, they'll be forced to stuff this has-been under center until he too, thinking he still has the legs he had in 2003, gets tracked down from behind by some Troy Palumanu and becomes a part of the turf.

And that should do it for yet ANOTHER blown year for the Philthydelphia Eggless.

He'll make a "sizeable impact" alright..................

Man, these guys in Philly.....................they let a man-child like T.O. run mental circles around them. Reid and McNubb primarily, the whole franchise in total, couldn't deal with a simple little spoiled brat like T.O. All they could mustre was to react to him. I don't "react" to my children. I act. I dictate. And THEY respond to ME. I don't allow them to push my buttons. And I'm not super-dad because of that.

In the end, McNabb et.al. we're left in emotional and mental hell, having to re-group and re-organize and rescue the franchise......................all because a mental midget like Terrell Owens ran circles around them.

How long do you think it's gonna' be before something "Vick" comes up in THAT franchise? I'll give it 'till mid-season. Maybe. Then, you're prediction will prove true. He WILL have an impact alright. A destructive impact. McNubb will be part and parcell of the pending mess, but it'll happen. McNabb lacks the mental capacity to NOT allow his presence to agitate him or get him to go side-ways between the ears.

Just a matter of time..................

I dont know how many other did but I laughed and absolutely loved this personally. I knew I'd be mocking and hating whatever team actually gave the guy the shot and it just seems fitting that Philly would be the one to do it. I hate them more than any other team in any sport anyway so this is just another reason to hate them.

What stands out to me about Vick more than anything is him lobbing the bird at ATL fans. Nothing says scumbag more than that.

Good luck with the media circus Philly. I'm glad the big top tent isn't in our town anymore.

I hope it works out for him. He has an awesome mentor with Tony Dungy.
