Being right has a scent about it... sort of fresh and feminine.

McNabb is the ultimate wus psychologically. He was benched for Kolb. What the hell do you think he's thinking now. This may eventually send him over the edge. And Vick's "skills" for what their worth will start eroding soon enough.

I don't think this is good news, but that's the natural worrier in me. I've never been really scared of Vick, but he's certainly better than anyone they've had behind McNabb before.

Nonsense... Vick may run Better than McNabb, but McNabb is a Better throwing QB. No QB controversy!

Kolb went down, McNabb is injury prone. Makes sense. Sort of.

They'll need McNabb to suck up to him. The media is ready to jump down the throats of any team that signs him and I still believe PETA supporters are ready to pounce as well.

On the one hand, this signing probably has "0" effect on the Eagles' won-loss record because a healthy McNabb means he never sees the field; on the other hand, anyone who believes the Eagles aren't a better team with Vick is simply being naive. Their backup QB has practically no game experience and is currently dinged...Vick improves their QB depth despite not seeing the field in the past two years.

If McNabb goes down, I'd certainly fear Vick more than Kolb, and I believe that's probably true of every coach in the NFL.

Still, he's unlikely to even see the field, like most backup QB's.

I dont agree with that at all.

They didnt sign him to be a backup QB. They signed him to be a playmaker in substitution packages

Just found out on ESPN.com just now and my mouth dropped.

We shall see how it develops. He needs to get back in shape and learn a new playbook.

So what is he going to do for them? It might help them a little bit if he plays wildcat QB, but it won't be the difference maker.

We'll see...I don't think anyone would be dumb enough to take McNabb off the field for Vick, and McNabb would not stand for it...he's just QB depth for a team that had almost none.

Who said anything about a QB controversy. McNabb Is a whiner and his confidence is easily shaken. He's had a good career but he's a wus. when he starts chunking passes at his WR's feet he'll start hearing footsteps in practice. Just the way he is.

Probably the last team I wanted to see him join. Probably won't mean much, but there's no downside for them.

I actually like this. The org put a lot of confidence and McNabb was set up to have a good season confidence wise. No Kolb stories. McNabb's team etc.. got him some weapons. McNabb is faaaaaaaaaaarrrr too sensitive to handle this and may hurt his confidence imo. Vick is a 3 time pro-bowler... no way that's not a threat to McNabb.

From Vick's standpoint, this was probably the best situation he could have hoped for.

1) He isn't coming in as a savior or with a team having big designs on him helping it right away. Taking a back seat will allow the fervor to die down over his dogfighting past.

2) He is behind a starting quarterback who likely doesn't have too many seasons left, so when the fervor does die down it will be time for him to step in.

3) He gets to learn from a quarterback with running skills, which might help him improve his game ... although I don't know if much can be done about his inaccuracy.

4) He lands on a team that's fanbase doesn't really seem to care about what is politically correct, booing things that other fans would show respect for. Of course, it's also a fanbase that will turn on him quickly if he doesn't play well.

Who says they cant all be on the field together?

Just like the 4aces packages for the Gmen, or us getting Felix, Baber, and Choice on the field at the same time.

If they want to get their best players on the field together, they have alot of flexibility with how they can do it.

On McNabb's worst day, he was a better passer than Vick in his prime. And Vick hasn't played in a while. A team has to be built around Vick's running for him to really succeed. Vick will be nothing more than a backup QB if McNabb goes down and a utility player otherwise.
