I'm probably a bigger Randle fan than most, but I just really like the way he runs. His lateral movement and then ability to accelerate forward is excellent (i.e. :40 second mark). Reminds me a ton of how Julius Jones ran as a rookie.

I completely agree with the Julius Jones remark.

Damn, our O-Line owns teams at times.....

Adding Collins & Green was like pudding for the cake

The acceleration and top end speed differences jump off the screen,.

And imagine...he did all these runs without having that mythical "feel for the game."

What's it going to be then, eh?

Vaguely reminds me of him as well and we saw how that turned out after Parcells supposedly turned him into a "robot".

I edited all of Randle's 2014 carries into one video. I included a couple of plays that didn't count because of penalty. Liked what I saw but the two fumbles are frustrating. I like him as our starting back. There are a couple of video artifacts in the TITANS game. Apologize for that. Hope you enjoy.

Two big runs:
10:50 - Jacksonville
13:58 - Chicago

You spoil us over here man. Great work, we appreciate it.

Randles jump cut in the hole is outstanding...It's very seldom where the first tackler brings him down...

Shout out to Ron Leary in this vid.

So strange that we are replacing a guy who is a quality player like that.

I know I'm just nitpicking, but watch a DM highlight tape and almost every run the OL picks him up, or helps him up after play is over. This was also a huge thing back in the days of Smith and even Dorsett. Did th OL not like Randle or is it because he was a part time guy?

YAC looked to average close to 4 -- that's similar to Murray, and YBC could be even better this year.

That's so funny. I was going to PM you the other day to ask if you could put something like this together.

Thanks for this.

Yep. Leary is really good in the run game. I'd have a hard time believing Collins will be as good as a run blocker in 2015. Leary did get picked on in the passing game so maybe Collins will be better in that area..

Oh and thanks to the OP for putting this together!

THANKS FOR MAKING THIS. One consistent thing is the when that #72 guy beats his man, Randle got out the backfield with speed. When that #72 guy did not, Randle could not get going.

Fredbeard is an important a player in the running game as anyone. Go back and look at the Colts games and see how much troulbe #94 gave Fredbeard. That was something that jumped out to me. And., that #70 guy that plays beside #72 is an athlete and then some.

Murray played deep into the final game which was a meaningless blowout win. There were other opportunities that could have been given to Randle. They were really increasing the chances that Murray would get injured before the playoffs AND they didn't really get to see if Randle was a legit option for 2015.

I would hope they already know what they have in Randle for the most part. I think much of it had to do with Murray going for the all time rushing record and things like that. Although I certainly would have played some of the other guys more. I was pissed that Dunbar didnt get enough carries.

His vision is impressive and a quick cut to get to where he wants to go and seems to be patient. I don't know how or why people think he wont be the starter over DMC. I think the Cowboys give Randle EVERY opportunity to take over the number 1 spot. It is his to lose. DMC in obvious passing downs and Randle is the bell cow (hopefully). I believe the only question with Randle is can he handle 15-20 carries per game for 16 games? That's a big question that they will never know until they actually give him a shot.

Great Video. Thanks!

I like Randle too and can see him as our starter, but I believe DMC will really impress in training camp, and win the starting spot.
He's bigger, faster, more experienced, has better pedigree and hits holes faster. If DMC stays healthy I think it's his spot to lose. But if he goes down, I think Randle steps in and takes the job permanently.

Postitive:

*Runs well in small space and gets through small creases. Has good lateral moves (small cuts) to help him get through in small spaces.
*Uses blockers well.
* Didn't lose any yards (from the 2/3 of the video I watched)
* Gets to another gear quickly once he gets to the open field.
* Doesn't dance around in the back field.

Negatives:

Unlike Murray, once a defender gets a hold of him, he goes down. Doesn't have the same lower body strength.
