Vince Young or Tony Romo?

Whoa!!!!!

Doc, VY, is no where, I mean no Where near to Michael Jordan. That was just plain idiotic to even say something like. I'm sorry, but those type of statements irk me.

Why would you even degrade MJ like that?
Michael Jordan is maybe the best player ever in any sport but Vince Young does have some similarities with him so far.
Let's see MJ won a NCAA basketball championship with a last minute jump shot to win it.
VY won a NCAA football championship with a last minute td to win it.
Both were number 3 draft picks when they entered the pro's and MJ was by far the best player in that draft. VY so far is the best player from his draft class.
Oh yeah, I think MJ led the Bulls to a playoff series in his second season surrounded by a bunch of no-names.
Vince Young?????

This is not even a question, if we are taking straight up QB skills, its Romo in a land slide. The ONLY thing Vince can do better than Romo is turn into a RB

I guess alot of people support Vince Young...I just dont see Him being that good. He's Ok at best IMo.

You and me both brother. I dont see why VY gets so much respect. he's way overrated IMO.

And I like the Titans...I'm just realistic...the guy is average..maybe. good leader I guess but that's it.

I love Romo. He's a badass and I believe he will win Super Bowl(s) for Dallas.

I also think VY will win Super Bowl(s). I'm not even going to try and argue with people on here about it. I've already done that for 5 years. It's the same damn thing over and over, yet VY keeps improving and keeps winning.

I just never want Dallas to meet Tennessee in the Super Bowl.

You were told?

By whom?

Well, my eyes "tell" me that VY is a far more polished passer than Vick. And a quarterback who can throw softer passes when needed is a better passer than one who always throws with maximum velocity.

heck yeah he's a way better passer than vick buddy please watch the monday night game again.

and brandon jones and lendale (overweight) white are u kidding me?

if we had those guys we would all be jumping off a bridge.

if they are good players than i guess miles austin and tyson thompson can start in this league too lol

Vince Young can dominate a 2 minute drill...good for him. More times than not, that's a prevent defense. I've yet to see him make a throw worth watching a replay of, other than his picks. I will remain stubbornly adamant that he will one day be deemed a bust.

Also, when trying to make this comparison, I think we all can agree that Romo would never be throwing punches at a team mate - let alone with his throwing hand against a helmet. To me, that's enough said.

Who do you like better, and who do you think is going to end up better when their careers are over?

I ask this because i know alot of you are Longhorn fans, and VY fans as well.

VY is the more serious player, while Tony Romo is the more goofball, but both have great work ethics, who strive to be the best they can be!

I hate Vince Young...period. I hate UT...period. I'll never forgive them for getting that National Title against my USC Trojans.

So I'm thrilled with UT's embarrassing loss yesterday, and I love every game the Titans lose.

Irrational, subjective, but passionate; however, I'm honest enough to admit that despite VY's apparent inaccuracy on many throws that will probably keep him from ever having great passing stats until fixed, he doesn't have anything near the surrounding cast on offense that Romo does. For Tenn, VY is the better QB...Romo would be a total bust with that team. They absolutely stink on offense...VY is just about all they have.

well it is good to see that you actually watch Vince Young, NOT........He is not a running QB. If you have watched him at all this year, he doesn't run. He dances around the pocket looking for open receivers, and then at the last minute he runs.

Vince doesn't just take the ball and look to run like the Canine Assassin. Vince is a pass first, pocket QB, who if need be, can run and scramble like a RB.

Also, you say Romo is more effective, yet Young has a better record as a starter. IMO, wins are more effective than yds or pts. I don't care if you win every game 3-0......it's better than scoring 30 and losing. Vince has been more effective at winning. Also, don't forget, Vince was 3-1 against the NFC East last year, and we had a losing record in our division.

For Dallas, I take Romo over Young, but please do not discount what Vince brings to the table. His impact goes far beyond stats. He brings "IT".......just as Romo brings "IT".

That is why I compared him to Culpepper. And to say Vince Young is not a running QB is absurd! He runs for more yards than he throws,. (Hyperbole)

Romo easily over Young. Young isn't an accurate passer. He's never going to be. He'll make some exciting plays but he'll never be a great QB in the NFL. He's just a bit better version of Mike Vick.

OK, after watching the drive at the end of the first half or the Rams game, how can anyone say Young is better than Romo? It is just absurd to think so!

Romo even has more rushing TDs!

Vince Young is a talent and he can play pretty good. But he's not near as accurate and he can't lead a team with his arm. He completed about 49% of his passes last year and is improved this year. But it's still in the 50% range.

You VY defenders tell me why:

VY is asked to throw less than 25 passes a game?

Averages less than 150 yards a game?

Completes only 53% of his passes?

Has even TD to TO ratio?

If all that is because he doesn't have the greatest of receivers, then we need to change how much value we place of the QB position!

ah how it irks me when people cant read and act like they can. when did i compare MJ's game to Vince Young's level of playing a game??? i would be an idiot if i say hes playing at a level that Jordan did! i said that Vince Young will to win and to get better is something that is at MJ's level which anybody that has ever followed his career would agree with me. i have no problem with people challenging what i say but next time challenge me about something that i actually said :bang2:

Dude, it is not homerism, it is FACT!

Brandon Jones is a good receiver, White is a legit rb, and they have a nice decent O-line and a heck of a defensive line, with Haynesworth leading it.
VY, has some weapons, and I'm told that there is another young guy Roydell Williams, I was told this guy is good but that with VY, no one can tell because of VY's style.

He is not a better passer than Vick either, the only difference is he does not throw the ball a 100mph, like Vick, he seems to have a softer pass, but an ugly mechanics.
yea Brandon Jones who couldnt lose anybody is a good receiver. also not to mentioned dropped a crucial ball against Indy that would have put them in FG range at the end of the game against Indy and would probably be 3-0 right now if he had caught it. and yea White is a very legit RB that only came to training camp 30 pounts overweight. and that has not been able to get the majority of the carries from Chris Brown a guy that nobody wanted as a FA this last season and the only reason they got him back is because they were concerned about their lack of depth at RB. they resigned him at the minimum for 1 year. O-line is good but like Romo here in Dallas he makes his O-line look even better than it is because of his ability to move around in the pocket and avoid sacks that most QB couldnt. and seriously VY's style wat is that supposed to mean???

Seriously im gonna let go that u mentioned Vick because WOW that just kills ur entire credibility :bang2:

LOL @ the idiot comparing Vince Young to Michael Jordan.
im gonna assume ur talkin about me just cause i did make some similarities between both of them. but like the other moron im assuming u cant read and understand things either. Learn to understand things that people say and then maybe u can start calling other people an "idiot". :lmao: some people make it WAY too easy!

Okay u know i respect ur opinion if u think hes gonna be a bust although i strongly disagree! But seriously ur gonna call someone out that was protecting his offensive teammate from someone that was hitting cheapshots at his WR's??? and not too many people even followed the whole story but it was the 2nd straight play that the DB hit one of his teammates with a cheapshot and VY was not gonna allow that to happen again. i would be real dissapointed in Romo if he wouldnt fight back for a teammate of his. but i bet he would cause Romo is a very good leader himself! oh and Vince threw a slap not a punch. i just wanted to set the facts straight for wat happened in that incident. his teammates gained even more respect for him. To me, that's enough said.

BTW sorry for all the consecutive posts but i had to set the facts straight for some un-informed posters!
