Wade Will Be Back and Pasqualoni Is Back

Why the rush to fill Grantham's spot? Pasqualoni does not excite me as a DL coach. But if Wade likes him ....

Apparently he really impressed Wade, and they were afraid someone else would scoop him up.

if i was wade i would try to get jones to give me another option year after he renews the current one. that way he does not go into next season as a lame duck coach. jones needs to tell the players that phillips is the head coach not only for next season but if they play well then again for the next after. i still think that garrett is the our next head coach. i do not know if i am making any sense.

Does anyone have the "Executive Vice President of Football Operations" title in Dallas?

I think that would be perfect for Wade eventually.

Todd Grantham is leaving? Love having Paul P back.

I didnt know either....

btw........is your sig mocking me or praising me?

Congrats to Wade but, I am still ready to to turn the reigns over to a younger guy or Jason Garrett.

Even after we win the SB this season, I would like to see Wade either ride off into the sunset, or take a position as a defensive consultant on the defense and the drafting and signing of FA future defensive players.

Even when we are playing in and hosting the SB in 2011, and winning again, I still would not want Wade back as HC.

Maybe after 33yrs of coaching the dues he has paid are cashing in, but I still not that confident in him as a HC, still skeptical, need more convincing, I guess, but only the players can convince me with their play.

um ok

Wade knows defense and he knows coach PaulP. He obviously is a big fan of the guy and overjoyed at the possibility of bringing him onto his staff.

The one thing I like with the Jerry-coach FO we have is that decisions can be made very, very fast.

The other advantage is we get another former DC on the staff now. That should help some when it comes time to gameplanning.

I also hope coach PaulP can do for the DL crew what he did for the LB crew. I've been waiting for Hatcher to really emerge - he has played much better this year than last year but I still feel this is more potential to unearth there.

I'm tellin ya, the real reason Wade hasn't been signed is that there's a hand shake deal between Jerry and Wade that if he wins the SB, Wade will step down from the HC spot and stay as DC. We'll have the same staff, but just with Garrett as the HC. Wade'd be ok with the lower stress job in his later years because he just won a SB as a HC which solidifies his legacy.

:laugh1:

Ok, ok I can't even take what I wrote all that seriously. I think it'd be cool though.

:D

You know what though, nothing could motivate him more right now than to know he is not a lame duck Head Coach. I think Minnesota just ensured some pain is coming.

Not entirely sure about that Hos. Last week it was, I think i stated or talked to norm about wade not signing, and I wanted him as is. Think about it. This team basically came together when Brooking defended wade. Brooking and few others do not like that wade did not get the respect that he felt he deserved. When the team saw brooking's passion they fed off of that, and it is like they came together for the sake of defending Phillips. I and exstension is offered now, then the sense of urgeny my begin to slide.

The extension hasn't been offered. Jerry as much as admitted today that it won't happen until this season is over, but he also said Pasqualoni's hiring at Wade's request is a good indicator Wade is back.

It very well could be loyalty to the Coach pushing the players. Rewarding them for that can be just as motivating.

So, we could win 2 straight Super Bowls and you'd still need convincing? Seriously?

Seriously, somebody would have to be brain dead to think Wade is not coming back, even Wade knows it at this point. Nobody fires a coach that just won a playoff game, that would be ****ing dumb!!! Even the Chargers lost their home game the year they went 14-2 and fired Marty.

I seriously cannot think of 1 team that fired a coach AFTER HE WON A PLAYOFF GAME???

I told you before I dread losses because I know who gets vocal and who is quiet right now. You're seeing it aren't you?
Some of we doubters haven't posted as much because we can't find a good "apology" thread. I've posted in the one or two that I've found, that I am suprised and delighted that this team is playing so well.

Perhaps our "negativity" is because we see performances such as the last few weeks and want the team to do their best every Sunday, not take opponents lightly and not prepare.

Does anyone know why the Dolphins let Pasqualoni go?...

If Wade is back then I dont believe it has anything to do with winning a playoff game.

The TEAM has played VERY WELL the last 5 or 6 games. THAT is better than just winning a playoff game. It shows that things are working now. Not just a flash in the pan playoff win (one game)

I agree and was thinking the same thing prior to last weeks game. It is about the direction of the team and how well it is playing, not the out come of one football game.

Congrats to Wade

We're in a serious playoff game here and we are talking about changing staff? Our defensive line coach? I know Pasqualoni was here previously and became a DC in Miami but we're gonna fight to go to the semi's so we can go to the SB.

Like if we don't win Gratham will become the scape goat? Common, get real here. Already a scapegoat is set up? Disgraceful........
