Can I ask WHY?

RW looked great coming into the league, a huge hitter and playmaking safety with blitzing skills to boot. Now he looks like a totally different player and many people think its from the $. Roy just looks slow, lost and unmotivated out there. He runs scared from the media after games and is not the leader we hoped he would be. Maybe he can still turn it around, but i doubt it.

But....
He needs to work out with who ever T.O is working out with.
Drop his weight to at the most 218.
Somehow balance 'finding Jesus' and playing with emotion.
And quit blaming his flaws on the scheme and Jen Engel.
Outside of that.. he is still one of my favorite players on the team.

I've never seen telecasts of games treat a player like they do with Roy where the majority of the time when a team beats Dallas on a big pass play they pan over to Roy no matter if he's on the opposite side of the field and clearly was not even remotely responsible for the coverage.
Two great examples I have is when Toomer scored the first touchdown against Dallas in the playoffs. Henry was in coverage and missed tackles by Henry and Ellis let Toomer score. Yet the camera pans to Roy.
Another one was back in 2005 against the Seahawks when Seattle TE Jerammy Stevens caught a crucial big pass over the middle against Willie Pile. Later that week several media writers talked about how Roy got beat in coverage on that one. Not only was Pile covering Stevans, but Roy actually was blitzing and had hit Hasselbeck just after he threw the ball.
It's the football equivalent of Romo throwing a pass to a receiver who clearly slips and falls mid route and the pass gets intercepted and the media would blame Romo for the interception. Or Romo throws a pass on the money to a receiver who drops it and the media would complain about Romo being inaccurate. That doesn't happen because it would be stupid to think that way. Yet with Roy it seems perfectly okay.
Roy was very average last year and did not play anywhere near like he's getting paid. But I've never seen a player where the media seems to be extremely eager to blame on screwing up everytime there's a big play allowed.

He's not perfect, but some people around here like blaming him for every problem in our secondary.
By the way... this thread goes 10 pages, easily.
