Ware Release: has the Organization Changed? ***Ware Mega Merge-place all Ware threads here please***

Good money for him still gutted he went but I'd rather let him go than the team go bankrupt cos of him I don't think he's our best defensive player I think Sean Lee is

BitterSweet in deed. Wish Ware the best because I have a feeling he's going to prove a lot of doubters wrong next season..

that's a heck of a lot less than we would have had to pay him under his old contract.

He had worse injuries in the 3-4 than the 4-3. How do you explain that?

That means absolutely nothing. My point is that because he's too small, he risks more injuries thus becoming ineffective. The facts bear that out.

We won't be able to, honestly. Garrett did the same thing to the OL and that took two-three years.

People are hopeful that some scrub free agents and the draft will just cure our DL. But I very distinctly remember the many years we spent in vain trying to find a starting DE and a good DT. It's not that easy to just get a couple guys and your line is set.

If we don't get lucky in the draft, we are in for a long season

Well I think we saw last year what happens when the main guys go down and you have nothing but street-guys backing them up. The Cowboys not only need a real infusion of talent but also quality depth backing that talent...guys that are in the grooming to become starters themselves. No...That does not happen in just one year. The hole that the Cowboys are in is too deep. Last season was the second straight year of massive casualties on the defensive side of the ball and if that is a trend that continues, it may take even longer to push the defense to a high level. You look around the league at the teams that are ahead of Dallas...they all have better defenses and maybe more money to make them even better. Dallas needs a fair bit of good luck going forward if they are going to truncate the process of retooling the defense.

Since Al Davis is dead, I don't see any team paying him 10 million a year in guaranteed money.
You still don't see a team paying him 10 million a year?(you were dead wrong) and the team that did it was in the Super Bowl this year. who Judgment do you trust.Jerry Jones or John Elway, when it comes to player evaluations? Elway all day long.

Ware for $10m/year, Talib for $9m/year. Denver has invested $46m of guaranteed money in two guys who missed a lot of time last season.

Wow..didnt think he would get 10 mil. a year and 20 mil guaranteed. Good job by his agent.

They didn't pay him 30 million guaranteed.

The Denver Commanders. What a stupid signing.

Bill Polian said on ESPN that he'd offer Ware 2 years for 3.5 million.

Why? What has he proved? He had a pretty solid Defense when he got there and turned it into one the worst. He lost Champ, Rodgers-Cromartie, KnowMoreno and Decker this year and is over paying big time to replace them. I think the jury is still out on Elway.

Elway signed Peyton. Wow, how brilliant.
