I'm with you on this, I would be giddy if he were the next head coach. Then, find another young defensive coordinator with new ideas, because these old bastids have over stayed their time. The team needs to get into the 21st Century, not stay in the old NFL ways that don't work anymore.

The difference is that all other teams have a chance of changing their GMs and FO staff. There is almost 3 decades worth of proof where our Leadership stands. Johnson didn't take a a HC job last season over questions over ownership and chose to stay with Detroit, so why would he choose to join a well established circus? He will have his pick of vacancies and it's doubtful Dallas is near the top of his choices.

And that’s another thing about these guys….they have a young defensive mind ready as well. Shanahan loses his coordinators ever year and just gets another guy who’s as good. We can’t fix the owner or gm but hopefully he can see where the league is.

Bobby Slowick Texans OC as next HC and have him hire Texans QB coach Jerrod Johnson as OC . Johnson played the position and also coached under O’Connell in Minnesota .

The only two candidates Jerry considered in 2020 were Mike McCarthy and Marvin Lewis. He's not looking to hire someone who has never been a head coach. It's just not going to happen. He probably doesn't even know who Ben Johnson is.
