He doesn’t strike me as a guy who needs control in the front office though he will be the biggest name out there so he will have leverage….he sure put a lot out there….screen passes to tackles….sheesh.
I would love to see a young upcoming coach with new offensive ideas...but unfortunately Jerry is going to see empty seats by the end of the season and he has to save that, so he has to generate buzz and hope. real football fans, die hards like us would want Ben Johnson and some rebuild. but he doesn't have the patience and nor does he care. he has to make and save money. so it will be bilicheck....and probably a big name FA for DL. just enough to bring fans back for a couple of seasons....

The only two candidates Jerry considered in 2020 were Mike McCarthy and Marvin Lewis. He's not looking to hire someone who has never been a head coach. It's just not going to happen. He probably doesn't even know who Ben Johnson is.

After that a— whipping if he doesn’t he better get with the program.

Not sure who Glenn is, I don't really follow many teams, just the Cowboys.
You have to be extremely tone deaf to spend time calling other people stupid, and then saying something like this lol

"I don't know anything, but I know everyone else is dumb!"

Like how is it possible to have any opinion on anything and not know who Aaron Glenn is, especially when he's a former Cowboy?

Dallas has become Cleveland. A once dominant franchise that the younger generations have not ever seen when they were great.

And because of that I’m not sure top talent will be standing in line to work for Dallas at least until this is fixed.
Cleveland has never been dominant in the Super Bowl era.

Money talks. If you offer enough to anyone, they will take a job, especially a guy looking for his first head coaching job.

And a huge difference in Dallas and Cleveland, Dallas is still relevant even when they are down. Networks line up to broadcast them in prime time and even when down, they bring in the biggest ratings. This is Cleveland at all. You always have a huge spotlight here and tons of opportunities to build your own brand. Jerry could easily money whip any young coordinator to come here but he won't.

I like your optimism but I expect nothing more than a retread and very little participation in FA.

I don't think little Ben likes the Cowboys, so I'm not expecting him to coach in Dallas. However, Jerry should call him asap when the window opens.

I love how people act like the Lions are some model franchise when they had FIVE players suspended for gambling in their building a year ago lol.

They have done a nice job of acquiring talent on the offensive side of the ball, but Detroit hasn't done much other than that.

They are nothing to me I’m just a fan of their OC. I think Dan Campbell is terrible.

He's the type of coach the Cowboys should be considering next year. But instead they'll go with a proven winner in the twilight of his career who's not the same guy he once was.
