Mahomes
Brady
Rodgers
Allen
Herbert

Burrow
Stafford
Carr
Wilson
Tannehill

Hurts and Daniel Jones both looking viable at present. Jackson hard to compare. Cousins is comparable.

Now, before you go getting your little twizzles in a frenzy, don't forget that you said clearly. It is not clear, not clear at all. Dak fits in the 8-15 range somewhere, that is what is clear.
I keep hearing Dak is top 10.

Which stats matter when evaluating a QB?

Dan Marino was trash I guess. Eli is better than Peyton.

Why would he need to be given credit for beating a 1-4 team nobody should lose to? Seriously he should beat this team, I’ll praise him when its deserved..Minnesota, Giants, and Eagles those are the ones that count. If he loses to them, we’ll then no praise and he will continue to be capable of beating who he’s suppose to beat. I guarantee I will praise him if he goes 3-0 against the three teams that are actually having winning seasons.

You guys are looking way too hard into what I was explaining. What I was explaining applies to every team we may play. The only difference is what the excuse will be if Dak plays well.

So 3rd in the league in rating, TDs and completion percentage last year is now being passed by guys like Carr and Tannehill that have never done anything?

Gotcha.

Lol, the Church of Dak with their one shared brain cel has spoken. Careful now, it sounds like defense to me.

No I assure you, It's not. Our one brain cel ? Hmm Kettle Pot Pot Kettle. Church of Dak ? Sorry little man I worship only one, GOD

Again in your brain little man. I'm sure in your fantasy LA LA Land, it may seem like I am defending him , but your delusions are not my concern.

Dream on little buddy DREAM ON

Answer my question with a question. Typical.

What's typical is you had nothing to refute on the post you replied to so you decided to interject your opinion about Dak's talent in a post that had nothing to do with Dak's talent level.

Dak is average! Answer the question. You don’t know enough about the position of a QB at the pro level for your opinion to be valid. Cheer for Dak all you want but at the end of the day, this team is going nowhere with him under center. The sooner he’s gone..the better.

As I’ve said before, there is always a constant re-writing of the narrative regarding Dak. After his putrid last half of the season last year, his biggest fans started flipping the script that they never declared him elite on this board. Without getting in particular posters on this site, among them folks who claimed he was better than Mahomes or Allen, the following article clearly establishes that people were actually challenging the general claim that Dak proved himself elite, meaning this was a common perception that needed to be addressed.

https://www.thebiglead.com/posts/cowboys-dak-prescott-stats-good-teams-contract-01e8w476239v

The numbers aren’t changing since this article has been written. Even without taking into consideration the win-loss record, Dak is horrible when it comes to TD/INT numbers against quality competition and the stakes are high. 2021 was actually a greater demonstration of this very fact that Dak is a garbage-time QB that is basically in the category of a Goff, though we haven’t seen Dak on a team anywhere near as bad as Detroit. Both of them were horrible on their later progressions and both of them were on good teams, beating up bad opponents.

You can’t claim it’s because of the ‘defense’ he loses.
'Was Dak Ever Considered Elite'
Thread title implies a truncated end / finality to Prescott's football career in some form or fashion:
A) Did he part ways with the Cowboys (trade, release)?
B) Suffered a career-ending injury?
C) Decided to retire from professional football for some other calling?
D) Left this planet's existence through some untimely circumstance?

My post wasn't about Dak's talent level! Are you blind? Can you not read? Good lord.

Outside of Dak fans, nobody picks Dak over those guys to build a team around…32 of 32 GMs take them over Dak

Those guys were picked by bad teams. Their record shouldn’t be the same as Dak (who should’ve been in his prime these last couple years.). He is what he is…middle of the pack. He just gets more attention because of the team he plays for.
You guys have to come to a concensous already.

All i hear from 90% of this board is that the Jones "suck" and they can't build a team. All i hear is that we didn't get this guy or that guy....etc.

Now...when it suits your argument, Dak plays with a "stacked" roster and the Bengals and Chargers are paupers.

It is really unbelievable.

Just so you know, 32 out of 32 GMs would have taken Wentz and Goff (and did 4x's) over Dak too. It means absolutely nothing.

I wouldn’t say elite, but top 10ish.

That list is VERY short IMO. Right now basically Allen and Mahomes.
