Oh wow...being locked to 2 or 3 years of cap squeeze because of Dak's contract. A guy that worked for you and played well for cheap for 4 years and now you want to cry about 2 years of cap squeeze for an above average QB in the NFL who doesnt turn ball over much?

I just think real GM's would laugh at some of these posts.

Stephen Jones has already stated they will do something with the contract....it was "obvious".

They will extend him out unless he gets hurt again badly this year or he totally regresses.

Short of those two things, he will be extended out and cap lowered.

Exactly. Remember the Cowboys added two "ghost" years to Dak's deal where they can dump some of his money. And the salary cap is going up every year too. Dak's cap hit won't be anywhere near as high as it is on paper right now.

Yes, bc the cowboys are just too stupid. They should have gave big bucks to Wentz like the Eagles. Or they should have given 230 mill guaranteed to a guy who won 4 games and is a sexual predator.

In Dak's rookie season when he took the team to a 13-3 record and claimed the 1 seed in the playoffs, I recall lots of folks calling him elite.

Nope , he was much limited in his mechanics at that time , he improved slowly in the 2nd season , but OL broke ( read Tyron ) and that affected him much, remember that Atlanta game, Clayborne made whoever was the tackle his ….. and Dak was never the same , last year 1st 6 games he was very good , KM’s plan worked until Denver game.

most zoners never called him elite but a good Qb , who needs lot of support like OL , Run game and receivers who consistently show separation.

To me it's a short list.
Allen, Mahomes...and I'll say Jackson...I think.
Dak is not even on the radar...

I like Lamar a lot. But I need you to explain what makes him elite and Dak "not even on the radar" considering they both have the same playoff record.
