And that is the crucial point right? If you as a team want to be competitive in the post season you are only going to do it with a QB who is competitive against the better competition.
So stats matter when you want them to? I believe his championship season in Denver was more a result of the defense then his elite status but his reason for regressing was a result of his neck and age.Peyton Manning was at his best in Denver, until the effects of his fused vertebrae took over and his strength deteriorated and neck flexibility diminished. That offense had like 5300 yards and Manning threw 55 TDs in his best season ever.

It happens to everyone
I actually got this article from one of your old post references when I was looking at some older posts.
Facts are, even when ELITE QBs lose to better opponents, they play well or good enough that a credible case can be made the defense or team blew it. But with Dak, he simply performs mediocre, like he did against SF or against the Eagles in 2019 for the playoffs and he could only muster 9 pts against CBs off the street. He’s arguably one of the the worst player on the field offensively during his stretches of bad play that happen yearly, especially when the stakes rise against any average to decent opponent, let alone good opponent..
Even Romo’s statistical outputs that are ridiculous are against opponents with a much better overall winning record, while Dak pads stats against garbage teams.
Dak has had short stints where he looked elite, but he's not done it consistently to be in the same breath as the top 5 guys. Dak has also had several terrible games over the last 12 he's started (TB 2022, SF, DEN, KC, 1st Wasthington game, etc) where it's tough to put him in the top 10 QBs.
The good news is I don't think this team needs an elite QB right now. 2020 they absolutely needed a QB to carry the team. Now they need Dak to be in the Cooper Rush model with a better arm. We need Dak to be more of the 2016 Dak than the 350 yards a game Dak.
This team gets an upgrade when Dak is healthy, but he has a long way to go to be viewed as elite.
No GM is giving up on Dak yet if they were in Jerry's shoes. So...since youre smarter than them...what is your move to fix the situation asap? We can draft later...what is your move to fix the current situation at the deadline...because Cooper isnt it? What team is giving you a QB better than Dak for Dak plus draft assets?
I expect an apology as I had to scroll back in time like a thousand pages. We believe you.
No GM is giving Dak that contract coming off a broken leg with a No trade clause either like Jerry,.
How many HOF QB’s can you say the same thing about? It's shocking that anyone ever called Wilon elite. He's always played like this, albeit a bit worse now that he's 33. Inconsistent. Got bailed out by running game and D. He hasn't sniffed a super bowl since that D started fading.
Zeke was good but McFadden was the 4th leading rusher in the league the year before starting only 10 games.
Zeke, in his absolute best....only broke 19 tackles that year. There are RBs who have almost that many already this year.
Oh but it is ok to downplay how good Dak was his rookie year at QB to prop up zeke is a joke.
I disagree.
You couldnt answer my question. Shame...all you can do is Dak hate with no solution.
News Alert
Dak accepting a fat purse using a right hand with warts on it. Sinful aint it?
Whats the current solution to the problem? Cooper isnt it.

This validated what some have been saying about the quality of the scheme/OL play in Oakland. By the looks of this video, DMC had no chance on the vast majority of his runs. Not to mention that 90% of the plays that I watched had 8 or 9 in the box, this guy really was set up to fail. I can imagine that other backs perhaps padded their statistics in 3rd and long runs or by popping a couple against these looks.
It was just a horrific display to watch all of his carries. To his credit, he seemed to run with equal determination with each carry. I only really counted maybe 5 plays where I thought that DMC made a poor decision to cut.
I am really curious to see how he fares behind this OL with this scheme with these players around him. I think the Cowboys were exteremely smart and shrewd in getting their hands on this guy.
