Washington is great example how quickly Cowboys could turn it around

And if Snyder was still the owner they would be just as good BECAUSE of Daniels.

Jerry can do it too if he'd take the QB position seriously.
Maybe. Washington was very active in FA as well. And DQ deserves some credit as well. But no doubt couldn’t have done it without Daniels.

But I’d wager Jethro would screw up Mahommes here while it could be more interesting.

Unfortunately his poor mgmt and culture hasn’t allowed us to bring in greater QB’s this era . And we are left with rooting for and trying to build around lesser QB’s.

All it took was new ownership, new leadership in FO, coaching and of course insert of talent and top drafted QB.

Lions turned it around as well but it took a couple more years.

Washington’s turn around in one season is the new standard but exemplifies it can be done . But major changes are needed from the top down.
The Cowboys could have done the same thing once they hired Dan Quinn. They had all the pieces together and could have gone after the free agents that they needed.

Washington basically took our rejects and turned them into productive players. Then they went on signed vets that didn't break the bank.

The problem is that Jerry and Stephen wants to do it their way. That's why this franchise is in shambles.

With players like Parsons and Lamb and picks 12 and 44 they can turn it around. They just need to use their cap space.
What cap space? Yes I’ve read all these theories about the magical $100 million but that is just pushing all the money into the future. What free agents? Osa for over $20 million a year? The free agent class is terrible. This we could have the opportunity to create a dynamic offense with this offseason but the defense might be historically bad. Facts - this team is in bad position with little talent outside of a few players.

Daniels has clearly been the difference. Snyder was a terrible owner, but he never had a QB. When it appeared he finally found one in RG3 his team went 10-6 and made the playoffs. RG3’s injury derailed them in postseason and it was downhill from there. When RG3 declined so did the team. Washington has never had a QB in their entire history as good as Daniels. He’s amazing!
Sammy Baugh. Sonny Jurgenson. Theismann.

He might be able to do it if he’s willing to burn 6 first round picks, including three top 3 picks on QBs over 30 years. That’s how long it took for Washington to land a great QB.

The Commanders success is predicated on quality decisions, not just landing a QB. That certainly helps but it takes a number of things to reach this point.

What QB situation would you rather have right now?

Washington or Dallas?

Do you think Washington cares what it took to get where they are today? Or do you prefer the scared to death to try approach from the Cowboys?

Yes use the 100 million.

Everyone here including myself would rather have Washington’s QB situation. Daniels is way above Dak in every category. There’s a lot of people in Washington that care about how long it took to finally land a QB. It cost a lot of people their jobs over the years. Go look at all the head coaches and GM’s Washington went through the past 30 years, all because they couldn’t land a great QB.

I can’t imagine anyone not preferring having Daniels. And the one who is scared to death without Prescott is our owner .

I’ve never really understood why Trolls don’t go after him instead of our players or coaching. There’s been one constant through this down era.

I guess those championships won with Jimmy’s built teams prevents Trolls from making our owner their target like true Diehard fans do.

It only took them 33 years.

When should Dallas go QB over offensive lineman?

Ya'll love Jerry drafting then O-Lineman in the first round, so when should we go off that?

We should be drafting a QB every year until we hit .

But Jethro won’t. He doesn’t want a QB controversy.

Whenever there’s a QB worth taking over an offensive lineman but no point taking a QB high the next couple of years with Dak on a new contract. We can’t afford having a high draft pick carrying a clipboard. You may not realize it because of your Dak obsession, but the Cowboys have bigger needs than at QB.
