Washington is great example how quickly Cowboys could turn it around

All it took was new ownership, new leadership in FO, coaching and of course insert of talent and top drafted QB.

Lions turned it around as well but it took a couple more years.

Washington’s turn around in one season is the new standard but exemplifies it can be done . But major changes are needed from the top down.
I agree 100%. Get a new owner.

Jayden Daniels was 80% of the turnaround… he is proving to be a generational talent

Washington has been getting multiple early 1st round talent. .
No they haven’t lol…unless you consider picking 14th to be “early 1st round” (and since you said Dallas would have to suck to get an early 1st round pick, you can’t mean picking 14th). They’ve only picked in the top ten 5 time over the last 15 years, and of those 5 drafted players only 1 is on their roster, and that’s Daniels.

I can’t imagine anyone not preferring having Daniels. And the one who is scared to death without Prescott is our owner .

I’ve never really understood why Trolls don’t go after him instead of our players or coaching. There’s been one constant through this down era.

I guess those championships won with Jimmy’s built teams prevents Trolls from making our owner their target like true Diehard fans do.
1. Because Trolls aren't very bright
2. Trolls are generally here specifically to cause trouble.

It's not that easy. You need about 100 million in Cap space to buy a new free agent team. Remember Washington was buying everyone on the market. More times than not that doesn't work. For Washington it worked this year. What about next year? They don't have a team built for the long run. As far as the rookie QB he's had a great year mostly by not getting injured. He's in that stage where he throws the ball up for grabs and it's finding his receiver. That's not going to last long either. He's the next generation of greatness some say. Just like RG3 and Carson Wentz until they got injured. Where are those guys? His 6 foot 4 diminutive frame won't hold up unless he puts a lot of muscle on this off-season.

It's just not easy to build a Super Bowl contending team in one year.

Naw, I'm paying attention to:

At age 35, Moore is one of the brightest young minds in the NFL today. To Jerry Jones and his coaching search, he’s a familiar face with upside.

Then, Cowboys fans will obviously remember Moore for his eight years playing and coaching in Dallas. From 2019 through 2022, Moore served as the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator. During that time he led the Dallas offense into the top 10 on three different occasions. His offense led the NFL in total yards two different times and the team posted 12 wins two different times. With a healthy Dak Prescott, Moore had the Cowboys consistently positioned in elite territory.

I really don't give a damn if you are back to a righteous complaint and name calling, SO?

No, accountability starts at the top. Function in the team starts with the controlling of team on the carpet.

Those two precepts go together, to get an agreement from this supportive based fan. That is sound, not another year of a team supportive crying routine,
No righteous complaint nor name calling is my intention. I'll gladly leave you to your preferences. Just enjoy yourself greatly, as you please.

Cowboys could absolutely turn it around. New owner committed to winning and spend money in FA would have a major impact. Hire a good HC and staff would help. Getting injured players back will help. With a couple of breaks (especially Cincy) the Cowboys could have had a better season. Main thing is getting the owner to spend and the right HC in place.
a new owner, new culture, allowing coaches to do what they do best and not meddle at every step.

Imagine Jerry Jones signing all the free agents the Commanders signed in the off season. You can't imagine it because it would never happen. And that is the reason why the Cowboys will never turn this thing around.
it wouldn't matter. the cowboys culture needs to change. we could have mahomes and jerry would find a way to screw it up

Stop kidding yourself! Until Dak is gone the Cowboys aren't going anywhere. Daniels was 90 percent of the reason that franchise has turned around.
until Jerry is gone cowboys aren't going anywhere. this is been going on for 30 years. people said the same thing about Romo. until he is gone....and here we are history repeating itself.

and Daniels wasn't the reason, alone. it was change of ownership. which lead to change of culture. bringing coaches and a GM and allow them to do what they do best. bring in the right players, that fit together and use them in such a way that help team win. instead of Jerry brining in Zeke and then forcing the coaches to play him, because he wants to see what he can do!!!! and passing on mid level DTs a big weakness of the team to grap bottom of the barrell players. and focus of the team on making money, instead of football and winning.

he is doing it again, by trying to bring witten as a coach to the cowboys. he did it before, forcing Moore on MM. and forcing Moore on Garrett and forcing Garrett on Wade.

Daniels was one piece of their puzzle. put Daniels here and we lose.

How quickly? They've been one of the worst teams in the league for many years now.

They needed the perfect storm of a very high QB pick that actually worked out plus new ownership. The odds of hitting on that are super long.
they need the perfect storm of Jerry stepping away and stephen relinquishing control.

until then NOTHING will change.

You said you'd rather have Dak than half of the league.

7-10 is what you deserve.
7-10 is what jerry likes. somewhere between that and 11-6. why? because both nay sayers and yay sayers talk cowboys. then we get the most attention, jerry the most TV time and the most publicity, leading to more money. the more they talk cowboys the happier jerry. if we suck and go 3-14, or 4-13, then nobody talks cowboys. that's bad business. at 12-5 or 13-4, nay sayers are quiet. not enough cowboys. there is a reason we were the 2nd most watched team in the NFL at 7-10.

jerry has the cowboys exactly where he wants them. in the middle, somewhat relevant. he will cash in on this, in the off season. sell hope. make some token moves. and keep interest on the team.
