Our moderators and anyone with half a brain are smart enough to know Cutler is 10 times better than Cambell and would make Washington a hell of a lot better. The question is what does Washington have to give up to get him.

The first guy below me doesn't think it will make them any better.

His judgment in the red zone is appalling. The Foreskins are going to grossly overpay for him and I hope they do. I wouldn't even put him in my top 10 right now.

I'd just play over the top of Moss the whole game and have my other safety spy Cooley..Randel El,Thomas,Kelly? LOL please

like the Broncos were with Jay Cutler, right?

The Broncos did not have ANYTHING near the Commanders defense.

Broncos gave up 28 points per game LOL...Commanders 18.5.

I think its a lot easier to win games win you dont have to score 4 TDs and then some more a game. I could be wrong though.

Overall Defense is decided by Yards allowed per game... not points allowed per game. We were 8th.

Example: In 2003 we had the #1 ranked defense... but New England allowed less points per game that year.

Hmmm, Yahoo has that wrong then. Should have looked at NFL.com, my bad. Still my point is, they were better than us.

yes... by a whole 5.5 yards per game.... lolZ. But we had 35 more sacks where we ranked 1st and they ranked 28th.

Denver wants Sanchez. They don't care about getting another teams QB.

Go to points per game then, thats where it counts isn't it?

I don't give a flying you know what if we beat them in sacks, they beat us in PPG.

I guess you could say we would usually beat them if we got a point for every sack huh?

This thread isn't about which defense is better. It is about what Cutler would do for the Skins', and that is that it would make them an instant contender in our division, which thus being the hardest division in football (possibly 2nd), a contender.

You're the one who brought up defense. Not me. Sorry if you can't handle it.

No, Cutler does not make them an instant contender. The important word here is INSTANT - I mean are we seriously even discussing this?

Sure, Cutler might have had a better season statistically but I think Campbell is either an equally better quarterback or slightly less in value compared to Cutler. When is Snyder going to learn that you can't buy talent, its a process of building it and creating chemistry.

I hope they don't get Cutler. Can anyone name the Bronco's RB's from last year? I'm sure all you Texas guys can name at least 1. I mean a starter and not the 6 others they ended the season with. He was on a team with no RB's and a terrible defense. I think the guy is going to be a great QB.

I don't think cutler has the work ethic and discipline to win the NFC East. I don't care if they get him...they will still finish last anyway and cripple themselves trying to get him.

They could get an advantage playing vs the AFC West, but the 6 games that matter will be a Commanders massacre.

I'm not sure it'd take that much to land Cutler.

The die is cast. The Broncos have pretty much committed themselves to trading Cutler. Teams know the Broncos are desperate. They'll have to work the phones to gain leverage.

roncos | Cutler says he didn't want to be traded
Share: Wed, 01 Apr 2009 20:56:34 -0700 Jay Glazer and Alex Marvez, of FOXSports.com, report QB Jay Cutler, currently still with the Denver Broncos, said he does not want to be traded. Cutler told Glazer he was shocked when the Broncos sent a statement saying he was on the block. "I was surprised they decided to trade me this soon," Cutler said. "I didn't want to get traded. This wasn't me. They [The Broncos] had been going back and forth saying things, wanting me to be their quarterback and then they didn't. I really didn't want this. I love Denver. I really like my teammates. I didn't want it to get this far." Cutler believes he will be traded to an NFC team before the NFL Draft. A source said the Broncos are looking for more than first- and third-round draft choices as compensation for Cutler. On top of that, his agent may demand for a new contract despite Cutler having three years remaining on his deal.

Interesting stat off mike and mike:

2008 Passer Rating:
Campbell 84.3
Cutler 86.0

of course cutler has about 1300 more yards and 9? more TDs, but he also played against oakland, san diego, and kansas city twice.

I don't know, I like Cutler but I don't think Campbell is as bad as people are making him out to be. They guy is just starting to develop and it seems the Commanders are ready to pull the plug. If you get this guy in a scheme for once in his career and allow him to develop I think he will be a solid QB.

and star receivers, and a solid line, and a SB winning head coach and a hands off owner, and (you may laugh) 8 home games in a high altitude city, not a city with high humidity.
I could go on, but this looks to be a watershed moment(in a bad way) in the Skins future.
There was a report that Snyder called Vinny out of Draft meetings, and then called Zorn in later and they huddled for hours. I PRAY!!!! that Danny said I want him, and Vinny said no, and then Zorn came in and Vinny and Zorn took away Danny's phone priveleges for a month, or until he stops this crazy s***!!!

I've said on this board. We should keep Campbell. Get him Oline help, give him this year, it costs you nothing and you may finally get solid return on an investment. But it really does now look like Snyder is going to throw it all away, in return for a pipe dream. I am a very disgusted Skins fan right now.

I am not laughing about the altitude... it has an effect on QBs passing distance and accuracy...and teams (defenses) that are not adjusted would become tired more easily as it becomes more difficult to breathe. I always hear players/media discussing these kind of problems when playing in Denver.

I am indifferent about Campbell. I thought he regressed last year and I can't even tell you why... Play calling? Pressure to win? Did the coaches just give up on any calling plays over 20 yards... I don't know.

Interested to find out if you guys get Cutler. Will make an interesting season.

If he buys Cutler then he bought talent.
