For once, I think Dallas is better, and maybe significantly better, but it still remains to be seen.

Dallas hopefully fixed it biggest need on D. Mazi and Hankins should stop the run/control up the middle. Adding a Overshown to give Parsons a break every now and again could allow this D to step up another level, and they didn't have far to go.

The offense so far has added a blocking TE with some receiving skills. I think it should have been IOL first. With that said, hopefully the professionals they hired are better than us amateurs that watch a little tape and think we know it. They have picked players that fill needs this draft whether people see it or not.

The offense line has Smith, Smith, Steele, Martin, Biadasz (5 we know can play) -- Edoga, Farinok, Bell, Waletzko, Hoffman, Taylor -- all 300lb + : can none of them develop?

If Dallas picks up a IOL, a QB, a RB and the highest upside player (hopefully FB) I will have to give them Kudos for drafting better than I thought they could. They will have knocked it out of the park. They haven't drafted the players I thought, but they have drafted the positions.

For those who say the offense hasn't gotten better -- how do you know when they are going to a different offense, more WCO. Just that change in itself might make the offense quite a bit better.
MM’s offense was so bad that it got him fired from GB. One injury on the OL and it will ruin the season.

OL doesn’t have much depth though
I'm sure Chuma Edoga, Matt Farniok, Matt Waletzko and Asim Richards aren't offended very much.

The Cowboys really like those players. At least 2 and maybe 3 starters in the bunch.

They didn't go OL eary for a reason. They passed on Torrence for a reason.

Sure he does ....... I bet every move the Eagles made was genius.
Sure. That's the way the draft work. It a team does what you think is smart, then that team is smart.
And everyone who doesn't agree with your projections is dumb.
I'm ecstatic to be blissfully ignorant in players that have .01 difference in ranking and watch what happens when the players meet for real. .

All three of the guys that we drafted are nice additions but none of them change our team.

The eagles and giants, drafted attacking football players - two of our three guys were drafted to stop their already potent quarterbacks and speed in the backfield.

We have not drafted anybody that’s going to change the game that’s going to drive play that’s going to make their defense worry about.

Our draft is based on our opponents assets. We’re worried about them, but they’re not worried about us. That’s a Losing formula in any sport it doesn’t matter.

Brandin Cooks isn’t changing anything.

We are still a slow plodding offense- with very little running back depth very little offensive line, depth, and very little quality at receiver.

And I hate to say it, but the Giants killed this draft already incredible;

We are quickly behind the 8 ball as the Eagles are clearly better and the NYG even .

We whiffed in Free Agency again and did not close any gaps on Philly .

The picks: John Michael Schmitz, C, Minnesota (No. 57); Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee (No. 73)

The Giants landed my top-ranked center in Schmitz late in Round 2. That's a steal. He fills an immediate need. I was surprised he lasted that long.

They followed that by trading up 16 spots to snag Hyatt, giving up No. 128 in the process. Hyatt is a speedster who can be a deep threat out of the slot, though he needs to refine his route running. He's my fifth-ranked wideout, and I thought he could have snuck into the first round for the right team. What a draft the Giants are having. I also really liked cornerback Deonte Banks on Thursday. They have come out of the first two days with three of my top 45 prospects.
Such a sad post. How someone can give up before a single game is played is just sad.

This team has needed a dog up the middle on the Dline that is as strong as an ox for years. We finally addressed it with a first round pick. I'm pretty happy about that.

Nobody knows how these guys will ultimately pan out on the field. But the first thing you have to do on defense is to make priority number one to stop the run. Do that and everything else usually falls into place.

As I've said earlier, many on here have seemed to gripe about us not using high draft capital on a guy like this for a long time, myself included.

Well here ya go.

First of all anybody that mentions WRs like somehow the Cowboys need to be scared, really need to analyze what they hell they're talkibg about.

Dallas CB depth
Trevon Diggs
Stephon Gilmore
Daron Bland
Jourdan Lewis
Israel Mukuamu
Eric Scott
Kelvin Joseph
Nashon Wright

Lol just look at the list and evaluate your life choices

Is your point that they are thin after the 2 starters?

Mazi changes the team the minutes he steps on the field. Best run stopping DT the Cowboys have had in years.

Schoonmaker makes the run blocking better (remember they want to run more) plus is a good receiver.
So a 2nd round run-blocking TE that will be 25 years old when they could have drafted a road grading OG who would have helped the running game and more?????? That made ZERO sense.

Seems like a draft without regard for value. Bunch of random picks to appease the different voices in the room. I love that they picked a DT. TBH, even if he sucks I will feel good that they actually prioritized the position. The other picks are a bunch of “we‘re smarter than everyone else” picks and we will find out soon enough.

Smells like the special teams draft of many years ago but I hope to be wrong. I know one thing, we absolutely will be knee deep in O line injuries so they need to ask themselves, are you good with your depth? I Think they missed the chance to prioritize that critical part of the team. The TE doesn’t do that imo.

Ya I’d much rather had Torrence that pick puzzled me. I think you can still get that guy in round 3

Maybe the feel like the starters will all stay healthy but history says otherwise

We’ve been lucky with Zack he’s getting to the point where the armour may begin to crack there as well

Grossly. Hyatt is a one trick pony. He's fast, and that's it. Strictly a vertical threat. Not the guy you take in the first.
I’m not so sure he even has elite speed - it was a disappointment that he ran a 4.4 at the combine. Think most were expecting something in the 4.3s

yes cowboys want quantity over quality .
I would prefer to use the lower picks to move up and get 2-3 high quality impact players, guys who start immediately.

If Martin goes down the OL and subsequently Dak is screwed.

On the contrary.
So they are not the sexy picks you and others wanted.

Individually you say they do not change the team. How about because they are added to the team, along with the players that are in place, they improve the team.
Smith can be a game changer in the run. He was not even asked to be a pass rusher at UM. He said he is ready to learn dnwhatever is asked of him.

So together they are just pieces of the puzzle added.

Rounds 4 through 7, now those are underwhelming picks, for now. We need to see how they work out, probably 2 years from now. If they are still on the team.
