CFZ We’ve had an okay draft but here’s the real negative and it’s gonna hurt

But we are combining that with an elite pass rush.
If you look back at last year and where we got gashed on the run it was two spots mostly. QB runs and running at the edges
I don’t discount stopping the run so much as using a 26 picks to stop the run.
We’ve done nothing to fix problems just as big
For example we have no LG. Our center and two of our top 4 CB’s are FA next year.
We haven’t still got a RB and they are really getting picked over.

I feel very confident that we could’ve taken these guys with us to San Fran and still got beat.

Unless we build a team to carry the QB we’re going nowhere.

Your run stuffers isn’t going to do squat for what this team truly needs.

The good news is that the batch of QBs are better next year. So, we will probably get one then .

You cannot compare Dallas's draft with the rest of the division when you consider a couple points...

(1) Philly and others had extra picks. They have a better chance to make more of a splash, and to be aggressive.

(2) Dallas was slotted behind every other team in the division, except for the Eagles, because they had more draft capital going in.

Bottom line is that Dallas helped themselves with these first 3 picks. That's the only thing they can control.

Now, if you want to complain that maybe Dallas should have been more aggressive in getting more draft capital, even do with Dak what the Eagles did with Wentz...that's a completely different topic. But I have no problem with their draft thus far.

There is nothing you can do about who other teams pick. You can only choose who is available when you pick. I like the Giants moving up to take Hyatt because I like the idea of being aggressive and going after a player you like, if it makes sense. There are times when the Cowboys sit where they are take takes what is left when they could have moved up for a better player.

All three of the guys that we drafted are nice additions but none of them change our team.

The eagles and giants, drafted attacking football players - two of our three guys were drafted to stop their already potent quarterbacks and speed in the backfield.

We have not drafted anybody that’s going to change the game that’s going to drive play that’s going to make their defense worry about.

Our draft is based on our opponents assets. We’re worried about them, but they’re not worried about us. That’s a Losing formula in any sport it doesn’t matter.

Brandin Cooks isn’t changing anything.

We are still a slow plodding offense- with very little running back depth very little offensive line, depth, and very little quality at receiver.

And I hate to say it, but the Giants killed this draft already incredible;

We are quickly behind the 8 ball as the Eagles are clearly better and the NYG even .

We whiffed in Free Agency again and did not close any gaps on Philly .

The picks: John Michael Schmitz, C, Minnesota (No. 57); Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee (No. 73)

The Giants landed my top-ranked center in Schmitz late in Round 2. That's a steal. He fills an immediate need. I was surprised he lasted that long.

They followed that by trading up 16 spots to snag Hyatt, giving up No. 128 in the process. Hyatt is a speedster who can be a deep threat out of the slot, though he needs to refine his route running. He's my fifth-ranked wideout, and I thought he could have snuck into the first round for the right team. What a draft the Giants are having. I also really liked cornerback Deonte Banks on Thursday. They have come out of the first two days with three of my top 45 prospects.
I agree and disagree who would you rather have Hyatt or Brandon Cooks. Their JMS pick I loved. The only thing that I haven't liked is we need to move some in the draft to go get players of need or higher quality. They need to change their mind set of staying put because Philly and NYG move when they fill they can land talent. If we don't change how we think we could end up being the third or fourth best team in the NFC East.

Great points. For those of you old enough to remember Seth Joyner, I watched a video of him this morning talking about the impact the 3 defensive players they drafted will have, particularly on their front/pass rush. Suffice to say it was very depressing......
No one will actually know until they take the field.

No offense, but I trust McClay and Quinn more than you. We will be better on defense and special teams. Offensively, we’re better at WR and more stable on the OL, and with McCarthy calling plays—can’t wait to see it. The TE will help the run game.

You should open your mind. He's a very smart guy. And his comments had nothing to do with the Cowboys. Don't be so sensitive.
Then it makes sense to supply smart comments and reasons he made. I have no idea why he thinks what he thinks.

Bunch of rueage. They are replacing a lot of D talent that left. It’s not like they are stacking on top of what they had. RELAX

We definitely addressed the few flaws we had on defense. But they are rookies so it might take a year or two to take effect.

Our biggest flaws were a big NT, another starting CB and some LB depth. And we addressed them all in the draft and free agency.

I can’t say the same about offense. We didn’t really improve at the skill positions, but we didn’t really get worse. OL doesn’t have much depth though, so the success of the offense rests heavily on the health of the OL.
Team direction, don't underestimate that influence on performance.

I'm not impressed by press clipping stars...
