Does it really matter if others (other teams, Media or fans) believe in this team?

And really, why should they.

Don't worry about what others think or believe about this team. They need to go out and perform. They do a good job and it will change many negative perceptions.

That's a loser mentality.

I guess. I want to win the Superbowl but we are not a Superbowl team. I don't play for the team so I see no reason why it's wrong for me to want a high pick instead of another mediocre season that ends in failure and lands us a mediocre pick.

I also don't see any criticism for the Colts tanking a season and getting Andrew Luck anymore.

And yet whether we're supposed to do well or badly, we always end up 8-8.

You have no idea how good/bad the teams on our schedule are going to be. Look at Atlanta last year. There's numerous other examples. SMH.

Really? The Cowboys have been one of the easiest teams to pinpoint the last few years for the local and National Media.

How many years are we going to get off to a good start, feel good about ourselves, then completely tank, then get eliminated from the division and playoffs in the last game?

Until I see different results i'll expect those results at the very best.

True, schedule do not always end up being as tough or as easy as people think. Houston was a SB favorite and just went 2-14 losing 14 in a row. Alt as you mentioned. Washington went into the season as the fav of the East and Dallaas sweep them. Regardless of the prediction any one makes about the upcoming season the Cowboys just have to focus on one thing and that is improving as a team.

That is true. Which is why I think we could still manage to be 8-8 again. 9-7 at best. I'll go with 6-10 as of the end of May.

But hey... If the Oline looks dominant and the defense doesn't look like the worst in NFL history then maybe we will have that 8-8 year once again.

I don't know what the record will be what I do expect is to compete within the NFC East and win that division because I know this team is capable. Sorry I don't see anything with Philly, NY or Washington that makes me think they are better teams. Dallas went 5-1 in that division with a defense beat to hell.

Eh.. I think those teams have got a little better and we have got a little worse. Not enough to make a huge difference either way and anyone can win the division.

I don't expect us to run through the division like we did last year either. That's very difficult to do and not something I think we can depend on in back to back years.

I don't. Sorry but they are not that good, hell we were beat to hell and go 5-1 and no Philly, ny and Washington have not done Jack. Others can lower their expectation because they are afriad they may get disappointed I'm not one. I know this team can beat these other teams and win the NFC East.

And the world is chalked full of confidence in Jacksonville and Buffalo.

I'm sure they are. I can respect that at least they don't wave the white flag before the war ever starts. I would much rather be disappointed in the season than to give up and act as if we have no chance. I do believe the Cowboys have a chance and I'm not impressed with Philly, Washington or NY. Hell Dallas had a backup QB and damn near took Philly out and the others we sweept. People here like talking about how lousy the Cowboys are? We still swept 2 or the teams and split with the other.

Suit yourself. All I'll say is that it's better for your mental health to be a glass half full guy, than a glass half empty guy.

You sure you quoted the right person?

My comment was about Dallas not being the team that nobody believes in. In fact, there's probably a dozen or so that people give less of a chance to.

Ah i'm past that point. I try not to let my emotions get involved as much with the Cowboys anymore. I just cheer and hope for the best.

I believe Philly was something like #2 for least games lost due to injury last year. Not sure what we were ranked, but I know we had a ton of injuries. If you just evened out those injury numbers, we most likely would field a team that could compete with most teams in the NFL let alone Philly. Not to mention changing schemes on defense from a 3-4 to a 4-3. That is a huge change and our defense will be better just having a year under our belt.

I think the Jags will suck. Is that good or bad for my health?

Thinking a team will be good or bad likely has no impact on a person's well being.

Don't suppose Browns fans die any younger than other fan bases. Royals have been bad enough to kill off a whole generation if that was the case.

If you're entire life is half-empty than I would tend to agree. Thinking or knowing your favorite sporting team is good or bad.....means nothing.

My undergrad sucks at football but is always in the discussion for a national championship in basketball.

What sort of health impact should I expect from that? Neutral?

I agree I would also add green players going to camp I have a bit more faith in that street FA sitting at home, signing on a Monday and playing the following sunday. No camp, little practice and we had to count on them.

We were expected to go 8-8 and lose in the last game of the season to miss the playoffs last year and we did just that.

yes. Certain posters will rag all year about this again in 14" If it happens they are happy and will say with a big bad smile

"I TOLD YA SO"

but for me I'm looking for a win streak. A big bad billy winstreak.
