We need to move Byron Jones back to corner

Yea, let's take a guy whose major weakness is being unable to see the throw coming and make a play on it and move him to cornerback.

What's funny is that Byron does play corner on most passing downs. He covers the TE man-on-man, which is what he's best at.

Sometimes I wish I was the kind of fan who wasn't hurt by losses, but then the wins would be that much less sweat. I'm cool with it. Thanks for the concern though. If and when i go to counseling, it will have nothing to do with football.

Which is why you are so hurt by the outcome of a football game. It all ties in, good luck

DE, CB in the draft. Get lots of them. Throw in a WR also.

Please quit unless you have studied the All-22. You can't evaluate Safeties without it.

I did see the All 22. Jones also got burned repeatedly in the Eagles game. Basically all teams are doing is having their TE run along the sideline. Jones has shown no ability to cover the TE running along the sideline.

What games have you been watching? He's a borderline bust right now.
Do you know how stupid you sound calling a 2nd year player playing his first year at safety a bust? Not to mention he's was asked to cover the biggest and best pass catching TE's in the league. Eagles have two guys, Slurs have two guys, Giants have a guy. I say he's done pretty well. Yall give up on guys too quickly. Watch the damn game. DBs give up plays. Every player gets beat...

Stupid? This bum lost us the game in one freaking play. All he had to do was cover the TE and he got lost.

BUST!

How people defend him is sickening. Call it like it is!

Wilcox and Heath at safety...Both hard hitters and both are much improved..Heath's second interception would have probably won the game for us if not for the horrible penalty on Brown.

Heath is showing great ball hawking awareness..that's what we need back there.

Jones should of deflected the damn ball on that last pass by Rodgers..what was he thinking there?

Right now, I want Byron Jones off of this roster. Sorry Lane. I see nothing but bust potential with this guy.

He is a gym rat in a uniform and is NOT an NFL football player.

If you look at that last play again Jones was actually in pretty good position if Rodgers is in the pocket. Because he was able to get to the sideline, it changed the angle of the pass so they could complete it.

Dallas had a 3 man rush with a spy like they did last game, and a lot of this game. Only GB was smart, they had their C drift to the sideline and as Rodgers left the pocket their C was their to block our LB in spy coverage so Rodgers was able to get to the sideline. Just another example of our coaches getting beat. No reason not to rush 5 there and make it throw it quickly.

Don't try to make sense Doomsday!!!

Had him drift right to FG Range. They knew how far they needed.

The irony of people talking about "football smart" in this tread while clearly not being football smart

That and coming up small in the biggest game of the year. And he just didn't come up small, he got whooped by an average TE. Made Jared Cook look like Rob Gronkowski, Tony Gonzalez and Steve Largent all rolled into one. Crayton came up small in the biggest game of the year in 07-08, but the difference is, he was a 7th round pick out of NWOSU, Jones is a first rounder that's getting outplayed by Jeff Heath.

Zach Ertz had the game of his life in week 17 against Jones. Green Bay knew who to target on that last play.

It was Zone coverage. They didn't target anyone. That's what happens to zone coverage when the pass rush didn't get home.

And that could very well happen again this draft.

I wouldn't automatically pencil in a DE in the 1st round.

I sure would. Especially if there's one available. I love our draft and what we did and I wouldn't trade it for anything but if the Cowboys had traded up for Ogbah or drafted Spence they wouldn't be hurting. There are guys like that every year at the top of the 2nd and end of the 1st. Even if it is a late 1st rounder that's better then what we have invested in our line as of right now.
