I think the real tools are people calling those 2 poor saps "real idiots" in an attempt to deflect blame from the real culprits, Brady, bellichick, and Kraft and the the cheatriots

It is VERY obvious to me, after reading the back-and-forth texts, that Brady was instrumental in the whole thing. I'm not so sure of BB, but he doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt at this point.

Here are the ball guy tweets. I edited the bad words.

In the weeks and months before the AFC Championship Game, McNally periodically exchanged text messages with the Patriots equipment assistant primarily responsible for the preparation of the Patriots game balls, John Jastremski. In a number of those text messages, McNally and Jastremski discussed the air pressure of Patriots game balls, Tom Brady‟s unhappiness with the inflation level of Patriots game balls, Jastremski‟s plan to provide McNally with a “needle” for use by McNally, and McNally‟s requests for “cash” and sneakers together with the “needle” to be provided by Jastremski. A sports ball inflation needle is a device that can be used to inflate a football (if attached to an air pump) or release air from a football (if inserted alone into a ball).

For example, on October 17, 2014, following a Thursday night game between the Patriots and the New York Jets during which Tom Brady complained angrily about the inflation level of the game balls, McNally and Jastremski exchanged the following text messages
:

McNally: Tom *****...im going make that next ball a ****** balloon
Jastremski: Talked to him last night. He actually brought you up and said you must have a lot of stress trying to get them done...
Jastremski: I told him it was. He was right though...
Jastremski: I checked some of the balls this morn... The refs ****** us...a few of then were at almost 16
Jastremski: They didnt recheck then after they put air in them
McNally: **** tom ...16 is nothing...wait till next sunday
Jastremski: Omg! Spaz

On October 21, 2014, McNally and Jastremski exchanged the following text messages:

McNally: Make sure you blow up the ball to look like a rugby ball so tom can get used to it before sunday
Jastremski: Omg

On October 23, 2014, three days before a Sunday game against the Chicago Bears, Jastremski and McNally exchanged the following messages:

Jastremski: Can‟t wait to give you your needle this week
smile.png

McNally: **** tom....make sure the pump is attached to the needle..... **** watermelons coming
Jastremski: So angry
McNally: The only thing deflating sun..is his passing rating

The next day, October 24, 2014, Jastremski and McNally exchanged the following messages:

Jastremski: I have a big needle for u this week
McNally: Better be surrounded by cash and new kicks....or its a rugby sunday
McNally: **** tom
Jastremski: Maybe u will have some nice size 11s in ur locker
McNally: Tom must really be working your balls hard this week

On October 25, 2014, McNally and Jastremski exchanged the following messages:

Jastremski: Size 11?
Jastremski: 2 or 3X?
McNally: Tom must really be on you
McNally: 11 0r 11 half......2x unless its tight fitting
Jastremski: Nah. Hasn‟t even mentioned it, figured u should get something since he gives u nothing

On January 7, 2015, eleven days before the AFC Championship Game, McNally and Jastremski discussed how McNally would have a “big autograph day” and receive items autographed by Brady the following weekend, before the playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens. McNally and Jastremski exchanged the following text messages:

McNally: Remember to put a couple sweet pig skins ready for tom to sign
Jastremski: U got it kid...big autograph day for you
McNally: Nice throw some kicks in and make it real special
Jastremski: It ur lucky. 11?
McNally: 11 or 11 and half kid

On January 10, 2015, immediately prior to the game between the Patriots and the Ravens, in the Patriots equipment room with both Brady and Jastremski present, McNally received two footballs autographed by Brady and also had Brady autograph a game-worn Patriots jersey that McNally previously had obtained.

7. In addition to the messages described above, before the start of the 2014-15 season, McNally referred to himself as “the deflator” and stated that he was “not going to espn……..yet.” On May 9, 2014, McNally and Jastremski exchanged the following text messages:

McNally: You working
Jastremski: Yup
McNally: Nice dude....jimmy needs some kicks....lets make a deal.....come on help the deflator

McNally: Chill buddy im just ****** with you ....im not going to espn........yet

Keep trying to distract from the real issues
I am reading through the report and coming in here to tell people who don't have access to it what is in it.
If you have a problem with that, feel free to place me in your ignore file.

The timing of the phone calls show that immediately following that very first Tom Brady comment on the matter (the weekly Monday morning radio interview where Brady gave his "now I've heard it all" line) shows that immediately following that radio interview he called Jastremski and spoke for 13:04.

CORRECTION: Brady send Jastremski a text saying "Call me when you get a second." then Jastremski called immediately, which was the 13:04 conversation.

They need someone to write their conclusions a little stronger......

"Based on the evidence, we also have concluded that it is more probable than not that Tom Brady was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities of [Jim] McNally and [John] Jastremski involving the release of air from Patriots game balls"

This is not about Goodell at all.this is about what the 31 other owners want to do.If they are really concerned about the integrity of the game then they will tell Goodell to throw the book at the whole organization.

Here is a little Devil's Advocate...because I'm an attorney and like sifting through these things.

1) We knew Brady liked his balls..hehehe....deflated to 12.5..the lowest level. Nothing I've seen yet in the texts says that they deflated them below 12.5, just that a) they think Brady is an clown and b) they want to inflate them seriously high just to piss him off.

2) Who just hands over their phone willingly when its not a police investigation? Were they Patriot issued phones? Was there pressure? Just wondering legally what the league said or did that made it where personal phones got handed over.

From reading the report.
Brady complained to the Equipment guy Jastremski about game ball pressure.
Jastremski prepares game day ball for Patriots. Brushing them up and inflating them.
Jastremski talks and text message the offical locker guy in charge of game day balls McNally about Brady's preferences of pressure.
Jastremski talks and text message McNally about Brady complaining about game day ball pressure.
McNally originally say F Brady.
Jastremski get's McNally free shoes, cash...maybe and other Brady autographed footballs to McNally.
McNally now on board.... Even before the AFC Championship game.
Jets got a Patriots game ball and say it's underinflated.... Goes nowhere.
Colts complain before AFC championship game about Patriots game balls underinflated. League sends out Email to all concerned to please watch out for this.
Game day AFC championship game. ,
Jastremski prepares Patriots game day balls and inflated to league mandated minimum.
Games balls are in Officals room 2 plus hours before game for inspection.
McNally is officals locker room attendent - and game ball provides for Patriots.
Officals inspect game balls prior to game - label them from both teams. Plus kicking balls and extra game balls in case of bad weather.
Before game and without approval from officals McNally removed all game balls from officals locker room.
Usual practice is to have locker room attendent, McNally walk both bags of balls to field with an offical.
Officals look about before going to field for game balls, because of NFC game going long there was a short delay.
They do not see them and no one gave permission to remove game balls from their locker room.
NFL offical goes to field to find balls and McNally. Not there.
Goes back to officals locker room not there.
Goes back to field and there is McNally with all game balls.
Interesting part now.
Background - Patriots security tapes erase after 10 days. So no evidence of game day tampering from Jets game about.
NFL asks McNally where he was - says he walked to field directly.
Security tapes showed McNally takes balls out of Officals locker room. Stops in bathroom next to field goes in locks door. There is only a stall here and sink.
There is large bathroom in officals locker room and one in the chain gang locker room. That McNally has access to also.
Goes in locks door in there for a minute fourty seconds then exits.
Takes balls to field.
NFL concerned.
The Colts intercept a pass from Brady during game and take it to their sideline. Continued....

It took months for this investigation when we already knew. They were just preparing their own version of the events to make it look as least damaging as possible, including making it not seem organizational after Spygate.

Dear Lord

From what I read on twitter, that "more probable than not" phrase is about as concrete as it gets in the nfl.
