So they wanted the continuity of suckage.

A team that wants to win always emphasizes true competition— a meritocracy which results in putting the best players on the field.

I find it ironic. The clown car paid another clown in the passenger seat far too much unworthy of it money, and now they’re on a crash course to the circus with him.

Ten years ago they started to coddle Dak by refusing to have him compete for his position with Romo. So they wanted cheap then, and now they’re saddled with expensive now.

They get what they deserve because the clowns who run the team don’t have to “compete” for their positions in an NFL monopoly.

Like I said before, when reflecting on his management of the team for the past thirty years, it’s a wonder how Jerry ever made his money to buy the team.

Good ole boys network.

I've never seen an owner/GM make this many stupid moves in just a matter of a couple years.
I’ve never seen an owner demonstrate so much insecurity. Considering what he did to the guys on The Fan after the Detroit game, his nepotism, and insatiable need to be a celebrity. It’s unbelievable. I truly believe he is the most emotionally weak, insecure, and toxic individual in all of sports. This guy is truly trash. He’s on par, or worse, than Skip Bayless. He’s an insecure little boy that wasn’t picked at recess and then went out and made billions and is still emotionally damaged and wants to show the “cool kids” how cool he is. Jerry and Skip need to go to some group counseling session to deal with this. Both pathetic weak men that need constant attention.

There goes Jerry…going “all in” again! He really means business hiring a career OC, who didn’t even call plays last year, to be the HC and coach-up a coddled, overpaid QB on the downside of his career…all because of comfortability.
It’s going to be interesting to hear Jerry spin this….

Has nothing to do with Dak. It's all about Jerry, having total control, which he now has
If it was a Dak deal, they would have brought moore in

Jerry couldnt afford Moore. The next best ('cheaper') option that provided some continuity for the $60m dead duck was Schott.. Jerry's doubling down on the Dak contract by getting a cheap Dak friendly HC...... providing himself with a convenient 'excuse' I tried giving Dak continuity and what he wanted (not my fault giving him the contract).
I wonder if he really will support him by helping the Offense in FA/draft, or he gives them the cheap alternative, lets see what you can do and see if the coaching/injuries were the reason for a poor 2024.

We have an anchor on this franchise at the QB position — we are forced to endure an incompetent buffoon at HC for four years because he at least will keep our remedial QB from having to learn a new offense. Dak’s contract is a curse on this franchise.

The Cowboys decided to promote OC Brian Schottenheimer over waiting for former OC Kellen Moore - coaching NFC Championship Game with Eagles Sunday - at least partly because they viewed his personality as more capable of commanding the room in terms of demanding accountability and establishing leadership.

Continuity of offensive system and positive history with Dak Prescott other factors.

Sounds like it was more continuity for the team, than just for Dak.

DDS triggered thread.

Making Dak comfortable for the last 9 years has gotten exactly crap to show for it. So let’s keep giving him warm milk and cookies for doing diddly for the franchise.

Besides there not being a brain cell in the entire FO, apparently there doesn’t appear to be anyone with an honest to goodness ball sack either.

Cowboys!
Good point. Have we ever seen Dak have a coach get in his face after he screws up? Me thinks not. Look at Sean Peyton this year chewing out Bo Nick's on the sidelines, and Bo gave it right back to him. Dak can't take hard coaching and this hiring confirms that fact.

The only way they can win with Dak is to have a dominant running game. The running backs are available in the upcoming draft. They better draft two of them or they will be in a no win situation with a qb that can't run and escape anymore.
You don’t make a qb that requires a dominant anything to succeed the highest paid player in nfl history.

Translate.........they wanted a HC who would coach Dak hard but didn't think a new guy with no connection would be effective ( choice came to Moore or Schotty)

I can see several people inside Jerry's circle screaming the red highlight ( Jimmy, Parcell, etc. )
LOL at “coach Dak hard”
This is about NOT holding Dak accountable and having a scapegoat in place (Shotty) when it goes badly

Just the opposite ....... Moore hire would have been that
Schotty is more of a your-face coach from my understanding. He will coach Dak hard...
Shotty comes in with ZERO credibility and Dak was instrumental in getting him hired and you think he will coach Dak hard and hold him accountable?

LOL, youre smoking something

It’s time for Dak to get uncomfortable and start feeling some pressure. Clearly he has a lot of grace.

I’m not anti Dak but this is disturbing.
