We have an anchor on this franchise at the QB position — we are forced to endure an incompetent buffoon at HC for four years because he at least will keep our remedial QB from having to learn a new offense. Dak’s contract is a curse on this franchise.

The Cowboys decided to promote OC Brian Schottenheimer over waiting for former OC Kellen Moore - coaching NFC Championship Game with Eagles Sunday - at least partly because they viewed his personality as more capable of commanding the room in terms of demanding accountability and establishing leadership.

Continuity of offensive system and positive history with Dak Prescott other factors.

Prescott having some sort of binky and blanket was made a clear priortity.

Of course it's about Prescott. Everything that sucks is always about Prescott.
This move screams about making life easier for the highest paid player on the team.

It is not important to challenge this player or do what really makes his life easier, which is get a new OL coach, an explosive running game and a threat opposite Lamb.

Like it or not, when an owner has a 60 million dollar a year investment in just one player he has to protect it.....just good business
Good business does not mean continue to employ Solari to teach the players how to protect the investment.

“The Dallas cowboys wanted the continuity of the failure present the last 30 years, hence this appointment of Head coach”

Could have left it there

This is sooooo much better/positive than letting Dak play this season without a new contract, get hurt, not waste a 4th round pick, tank, and start over with a top rookie QB & HC.
That was my hope last summer. I even thought they were trying to force out Prescott by letting the offense deplete and adding nothing, forcing Dak to play in contract year on a depleted offense with 2 rookie olinemen starters. Maybe he'd accept a trade.

Instead, they signed Dak to an extension. And now they made McCarthy's administrative aide the HC.

Clown Team.

Really would have been sweet to have next year be a fresh start with a new HC and QB. Oh well. I think I'll get getting even more work done on Sundays next year.
