I’ve never seen an owner demonstrate so much insecurity. Considering what he did to the guys on The Fan after the Detroit game, his nepotism, and insatiable need to be a celebrity. It’s unbelievable. I truly believe he is the most emotionally weak, insecure, and toxic individual in all of sports. This guy is truly trash. He’s on par, or worse, than Skip Bayless. He’s an insecure little boy that wasn’t picked at recess and then went out and made billions and is still emotionally damaged and wants to show the “cool kids” how cool he is. Jerry and Skip need to go to some group counseling session to deal with this. Both pathetic weak men that need constant attention.
Jerry is looking like Al Davis 2, staying on after his expiration date and getting increasingly erratic.

This had "Dak wants to be comfortable" written all over it.

Even more reason to hate that loser/quitter of a QB.

Dak fans are not Cowboys fans.
No kidding. This is the worst possible sell job to fans.

You know that QB you all hate now and that has failed at every opportunity to progress the team in the playoffs?

Not only did we sign him life, but he gets to choose the coaches now.

Dak’s best season ( not one with most stats) was his rookie year when we were a run dominant team and he would often go under center and play action. When they want him throwing over 30 times a game strictly in shot gun is not a winning recipe

Dak's contract should be an embarrassment to the Jones family. Last year Dak looked about as bad has he has ever looked in a Cowboys uniform. And he got hurt throwing the football. Red flags? Possibly. My theory is Dak chokes under pressure and last year he choked under the pressure of a contract that made him the highest paid QB in NFL history. Dak can never live up to his contract.

Then he got hurt and missed most of the season. It was a non-contact injury to a leg even though he rarely runs anymore. A sign of things to come? Once Romo started getting hurt it just snowballed. Is Dak on that same slippery slope? He has a $90 million CAP cost this year. Imagine if he only plays 7 or 8 games. Worse yet, what if Jerry restructures his deal and pushes more money into the future and they are stuck with him even though he can't stay healthy?

Everyone is making a big deal of who the coach is. I am unphased. The problem is not the coach.

Actually it was more like the cat is out of the bag about the ten year nepo lifer assistant coach, we better keep him because heaven forbid our veteran QB learn a new system at this stage in his career.
Are you regretting your #4 tattoo yet?

I should clarify that.
I meant for the next 4 years.
Why doesn't it make sense, it may not make sense to do it high in the draft from rounds 1-3, but from 5-7 (since we don't have a 4th), you'd be crazy not to draft one and develop one knowing that Dak is dealing with that issue!

Maybe this will make the decision for our FA's easy. Maybe guys won't sign extensions. Get out of here as quickly as possible.

Let them field a team with players that are here just because they have no other choice. I hope it gets so bad the networks demand a refund on the broadcasting fees & Jerry is blasted 24/7 by everyone.

Not true.

Dak's best season was 2023 where he passed for 4,500+ yards, 36 TDs, only 9 INTs, a 105.9 passer rating and league MVP runner up.

A head coach is someone that is for the entire team.

One shouldn’t be selected for the best interest of one player

Like I said his best season not best stat season. It was the best season for Dallas with Dak at QB. To continue to hire personnel/coaches and to build around Dak is not a winning recipe. I hope I am wrong and I will pull hard for Dak because I want to win. I have been diehard Cowboys fan since a small child in the 70s and pull hard for whoever is wearing the Star.

I hate this hire, so I'm not defending Dak. Just stating a statistical truth. The 2016 Cowboys were a team driven successful season. 2023 was literally where Dak carried the team. So, yes, Dak's best season was 2023. That's why he ended up NFL MVP runner up.

And I still think his rookie season was his most efficient/best season. I don’t just look at stats. But it’s all good and I know we all want team success over individual success. I hope Dak comes back healthy and would like him to lose a few pounds.
