Even if we go 0-17 JJ and his son will never admit their mistakes
No, but like when we went 5-11 three straight seasons it at least forced them to bring in a legit HC and stay out of the way long enough to turn things around.

We actually have fans who think Jethro and Son are doing a good job.

I hear people say that "we don't appreciate what we have" and must have forgotten about "the QBs between Aikman and Romo".

We're still there. It's just a little prettier.

It's time for this organization to take the QB position seriously again. I'd much rather be on the QB search than be handcuffed to a QB that requires everything to be perfect around him. The margin for error in roster building is incredibly small with a QB of Dak Prescott's skill level. We have to hit on everything to succeed with Dak at QB and that takes a lot of smarts and luck.

You're not going to draft the next Patrick Mahomes if you handcuff yourself to Alex Smith.

Get used to it
I’m betting Dak gets extended in the off season

Dak Prescott sells. He's good for business. That's the most important thing to Jerry.

Jerry/Stephen won't move on from Dak because it will show they made the mistake of giving him the ridiculous contract. Same as Zeke.

Garrett obviously was a bad choice. But they stuck with him way too long just because moving on proved he was a bad choice from the beginning.

Dak is fine if you have a dominant running game. Same as about 20-30 qbs in this league.
But if a defense can stop the run and generate pressure without blitzing, the game is over before it begins.

Dak cannot function without excellent protection or a good running game. We will know within the first few drives Monday if we have a chance or not.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at that rookie stud that is guiding the 9ers, this rookie QB is legit, whereas Prescot is horribly over hyped and overpaid for the mistakes that he is constantly making week after week. Prescot is less than a mediocre QB and that's fricking bad!

What I would love to see happen is Anthony Richardson fall to us and draft him. Let him develop while we suffer out the next two years of Dak's contract.

Romo was good enough to have a super bowl ring. The problem in Dallas is that Jerry and son don't understand the concept of roster building or positional depth, and they only wheel and deal for players when desperate. This team hasn't had a vision of how the Dallas Cowboys should play football since Jimmy Johnson.

he needed a more viable team to get a new stadium to make the real money. That was the ONLY reason he got BP and gave him so much control
Will NEVER happen again

Lot of QB's can get you nice seasons and a playoff berth with a solid team around them. No need to pay top dollar and tie yourself down to contracts unless you are convinced the guy is a difference maker.

If you don't have that guy, you have to keep looking.

My honest opinion, Troy Aikman makes Romo and Dak look like rookies, but I don’t for a second think Troy would be very successful with this team. Troy never had to deal with receivers as bad as what we have behind Ceedee. Troy would not like the way our interior line gets pushed back. He never had to deal without a run game, and he never played with such bad defenses as Romo and Dak have had.

Everyone knew we had issue on the OL this year….everyone wondered about Tyron, and he didn’t get out of training camp. We all worried about replacing the guy we hated—LG Connor Williams, about the loss of Lael Collins, and about our center. Well, the center held his own, and Steele was a pleasant surprise until he was lost. So we’ve played a rookie at LT and Connor McGovern who is no upgrade over Williams.
We went into the season with a #3 wr coming back from knee reconstruction, hoping he’d be a #2 and basically nothing else except a third round rookie.

We had high hopes for a defense that still had serious weakness at DT, but injuries and the late season playoff style offenses have exposed it.

Dak is a good QB that we can win with, but I know we could try to upgrade and a better QB would be…..better, but if you think better QB play would fix this team, you are wrong.

I am hopeful that by the end of next season, we will either extend our Super Bowl winning quarterback, or, will cut/trade him and start building for the next window.

He had a bad game. All QB’s do from time to time. He’s not going anywhere so you’ll be in purgatory and that’s a beautiful thing. Hate on bro.
How could you possibly be satisfied with Dak. You don’t want something better for your favorite team?

Because he’s one of the best QB’s in the league. Brady threw for 86 yards last week and Rogers threw a pick that ended the season for the Packers. Take off your black tinted hating sunglasses and educate yourself on football.

You act like elite QBs grow on trees or that an above average QB can somehow be coached to play like Mahomes or Brady. They don't and they can't.

Dak is the future of this team unless he strings together a half dozen performances like Sunday together in the same year. We aren't drafting a QB and we aren't trading for one. If you were running the team, you couldn't do anything different. There are no legit options for securing a better QB than Dak unless some low round draft pick (or undrafted player) jumps up and surprises everyone like Brady, Romo, or Warner did. That happens so infrequently that I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you.

The very best you can hope for is that Dak takes a big discount on his next contract, which would allow us to surround him with the players he needs to make his game style work.

Yea, we’re going to hear QB whining as long as The Jones are running the show no matter how good the player is bc we suck at building championship caliber teams.
