You’re not going to draft the next Patrick Mahomes if you’re drafting outside the top 10-15. But to do that you’d have to lose 12-15 games. Then we’d hear you cry about how bad this organization and that it can’t compete because of the FO. You are going to complain either way.I hear people say that "we don't appreciate what we have" and must have forgotten about "the QBs between Aikman and Romo".
We're still there. It's just a little prettier.
It's time for this organization to take the QB position seriously again. I'd much rather be on the QB search than be handcuffed to a QB that requires everything to be perfect around him. The margin for error in roster building is incredibly small with a QB of Dak Prescott's skill level. We have to hit on everything to succeed with Dak at QB and that takes a lot of smarts and luck.

This. 12-5 is already good enough to bring everyone back for Jerry, coaches included. If you want Jethro to get rid of Dak you need to root for 5-12 seasons. 12-5 seasons isn’t going to make it happen.
The Chiefs made the playoffs, but they moved heaven and earth to get up to draft Mahomes. They did not settle for playoffs = good enough. You gave a terrible example of a team that did make the playoffs yet got Mahomes. Right now we're basically The Chiefs with Alex Smith. You’re not going to draft the next Patrick Mahomes if you’re drafting outside the top 10-15. But to do that you’d have to lose 12-15 games. Even Sloth is getting a laughing kick out of this whiny thread...
It's called Dak Hate.....pure and unadulteratedDallas has won 12 games this season and last season but Dak has to have everything perfect to win.....
Has the running game been perfect the last month of the season?
How about the 32nd rank pass blocking OL?
What about receivers other than Lamb, have they been perfect?
What about TEs including 2 rookies, have they been perfect?
How about coaching and the front office, have they been perfect?
It surely can't be the defense that has been perfect.....
This goofy notion that Dak can't win unless everything is perfect is nonsense and anybody that says it shows the lack of knowledge of what they are watching.....or just a hated bias of a particular player.
I trust Will McClay to draft a QB. Not saying he’s definitely going to get one right away, but I’d give him a couple swings at it.Have they shown an ability to draft the next stud QB?
These Dak haters will watch this upcoming playoff game at Tampa Bay with hopes the Cowboys lose just to fuel their lust to see Dak no longer in Dallas. That's how bad their hatred is.This Thread is awful...
Dak Haters are FEAR Peddlers Playoff Week
Draft dEsMOnd rIDder.... Mouth Breathers during the Draft
Good question. I thought about this while watching the Commanders game. I feel Jerry's ego is intertwined with Dak's success. Meaning Jerry wants to be the GM that found a super bowl winning QB in the 4th round. I feel he wants the credit for finding the diamond in the rough. This blinds him to Dak's limitations. If Jerry were to use a draft pick for Dak's successor now, ala Green Bay drafting Love or Kansas City drafting Mahomes then it would be him conceding he was wrong. I don't think he'll do that. The only hope we have is Dak plays so poorly in the playoffs and next season that it forces Jerry's hand to look for his successor. Why do you think our owner is unwilling to make moves at QB?
Dak was a 4th round pick.I hear people say that "we don't appreciate what we have" and must have forgotten about "the QBs between Aikman and Romo".
