People are getting so wrapped up in this negativity and micro grief that they are missing out on the journey.

I can't remember a more fun season and sense of upbeat since the early 90's. Step back - you could be a Jets fan! Man that would suck today are a San Fran or Houston fan. Even worse an Eagle fan today.

Some need to get over hanging on to their binkies. Glenn Craanno was spot on with the irrational and ill thought out knee jerk stuff that goes on here.

Bledsoe is our QB - accept that. Those calling for his demise get on board or leave.

We are going with a very new 3-4 defense, a new and rookie Laden team. There was going to be bumps. We have been in EVERY game. Comeback wins, clutch wins and 3 killer emotional losses.

We are 6-3 and tied for 1st in NFC East. We have essentially swept and knocked out Eagles. We are on verge of playoffs and contending.

Cardiac season - you betcha - I've been enjoying this journey since Day 1 of camp. Everyon man up and get on board. Its ok to enjoy this....

This is a special season, we could be far worse off. And the dommesayers and gloomers and usually the guys with no skin in the game would be giddy as pigs in mud outside a sewage plant.

Yesterday I asked who was going to be the Kmart of this season? Roy Williams stepped up and said me.

Lead, duck or get out of the way.
Calling for people to leave is crap.

Excellent, now I understand your viewpoint a little better and you understand mine. I agree that laughable is a better word to use than embarrassing. I never intended to imply that I was better than any other poster because of my viewpoint, but I still question how much of a fan you can be by quitting on the game last night and turning the TV off or heavily criticizing a player after ONE bad play. It just doesn't register with me, but having said that I understand that everybody is different and everybody has different reactions and emotions to certain things.

Some of you so called fans should be ashamed of yourselves. Not all, but some. What a joke. Moaning and pouting and crying because the Cowboys were playing poorly. Heaven forbid. It was the 3rd quarter and I was reading that we need a new QB, new OL, better LB's, new DL, new Head Coach and new Offensive Coordinator. It's too long of a season to not expect the Cowboys to play poorly for a period of time. I understand that this is a message board and a place to air your thoughts, but get a grip. Some so called fans were like, "I'm turning the TV off" or "I'm going to bed, I can't watch this anymore". Just unbelievable. I hope the fans who said this, and I use the term "fans" lightly, had the guts to do it, so you missed a great finish.

I've never turned a Cowboy game off before it was over. Never. 1-15 in 1989. Bears destroying us in the mid-80's. I would've missed some great comebacks back in the late 70's and early 80's if I did turn the TV off.

Those so called fans are spoiled babies. I'll give you all a pass if you're in elementary school or middle school, but that's it. I understand you're frustrated, but chill. I never threw in the towel last night, never do. I'm always like, if we can hold them here and then score then hold them again or get an onside kick or cause a turnover and score we can win this.

That all being said, we lost the battle of the trenches pretty bad and didn't play well at all. But I understand that it's going to happen quite a bit during a long season and not to go crazy about it. We'll bounce back. I think the bye had something to do with it. BP said we looked flat in some practices last week and it carried over to the game. Plus, give the Eagles credit. They came out and played a great game.

Go Cowboys!

Glad someone feels this way other than me.....We have a lot of so-called "cowboys fans" that hop on and off a bandwaggon quicker than Joe Theisman

IMO< the negativity comes from the fact that Dallas has had only 1 statement game all year, Philly in Dallas, and could easily be 2-7 or 9-0. THis team is so inconsistant and in all reality doesnt look as good as many of you make them out to be.

However, we have won more than 6 games only once this millenium, so I'll take it
What? Where are the endless host of "statement games" from other teams? We would have KILLED for a 33-10 drubbing of Philly last year (with T.O. mind you). Yeesh, the previous five seasons we are 31-49-- we averaged 6-10! If you can't get excited about being 6-3, you've got a serious problem with expectations.

Nors is dead on right about enjoying the ride-- our Boys are in the thick of things once again!

Glenn,

It was p a i n *** l for me to watch. It physically hurt. :)

I admit that I turned the TV off after the drive where Glenn barely missed that BOMB.

But I took a walk and came back later just after we scored that second touchdown.

I am glad I came back :D

:wink2:

Like I said, different terminology and I'm probably an ally rather than a a foe. I don't understand it either, but I have to admit some of it gets my juices flowing and that makes it all the more interesting.

I don't like vanilla. Give me flavor. Sometimes the negativity is the flavor.

C'est la vie.

THE SEASON IS TAKING OFF AND THE NITWITS LAST NIGHT JUMPED SHIP! Glenn called them out - but I agree with your stance to defend their right to do what they did.

Funny but true story on Nitwits.

As a kid I wrote a book about 3 dogs. I called them the niff whiffs. A lot like the 3 stooges. One was blind, another was big and the 3rd was the butt of the joke.

jk and in fun

what a disgusting, pompous, Michael Moore-type post.
so sorry that everyone isn't more like you. Please teach us all how to be "real fans." And excuse us for getting emotional and frustrated by poor play from the team whose colors bleed from our veins.

I watched the game, start to finish, but my heart was being ripped out for 3 1/2 quarters. It was tough to deal with.
maybe oneday I can aspire to be the fan that you are though, more disconnected.

At last..........someone who truly gets it. I don't generally "quote" an entry or even post much. But, this is one of the best I've read lately. I'm with you friend - never turned off or turned away from a game, never will. (I even remember the name Glenn Carrano).

As a stellar poster on this board has as his sig (pardon me for stealing it once but it's epic). "You younguns stay outta my yard"

he made a statement and is spot on at many levels.

He has and will catch a lot of slack from those that acted as he called out....

I guess I don't "get" the whole leave the game on/turn it off stuff. This is entertainment... that's all it is. You won't lose your birthday over it... it won't feed starving kids in China. It is what it is. Too take it more seriously than it needs to be... well, that's sorta sad really.
