I guess I don't "get" the whole leave the game on/turn it off stuff. This is entertainment... that's all it is. You won't lose your birthday over it... it won't feed starving kids in China. It is what it is. Too take it more seriously than it needs to be... well, that's sorta sad really.

***Im waiting for Glenn's post on how being a super homer will indeed help feed the starving children in China.

LOL!

I think Glenn means well, I do.

I admire his and other's passion for this team. I really do. I remember when I was younger (2 or 3 years ago! LOL!) I'd cry when the Cowboys lost but I've gotten over that because I've come to realize that no matter if they won or lost that I wasn't getting a check in the mail, they weren't paying any of my bills and it really wasn't improving my lifestyle or the lifestyle of my family... it really wasn't. So I started to focus less on sports and started focusing more on improving myself and my overall lot in life. And while I haven't cut down on my NFL viewing I have cut back drastically on all the other sports including college football. And honestly I know my income has grown considerably from it and my family has reaped the benefits without the stress of me "stressing" over if my team won or last last night.

And in the process I think I've become a much well-rounded individual.

I'm not a homer - last season with VT and no RCB, FS and passive D I called the season over out of the gate. I have a huge gut feeling for this team from the start. Its freaking like 3rd encounters movie , February 5th in Detroit and I'm destined to be there.

This Journey is epic so far - I have not enjoyed a season like this since 1991/1992. We are are on the cusp - Parcells and team need to go take it.......

consistent, persistent, and resistent.

I feel your pain but with Losmans play last week your dog ear went up, tail wagged a few times. You know it!

Well at least one of us has something insightful to say instead of nothing but negativity no matter what.

People are getting so wrapped up in this negativity and micro grief that they are missing out on the journey.

I can't remember a more fun season and sense of upbeat since the early 90's. Step back - you could be a Jets fan! Man that would suck today are a San Fran or Houston fan. Even worse an Eagle fan today.

Some need to get over hanging on to their binkies. Glenn Craanno was spot on with the irrational and ill thought out knee jerk stuff that goes on here.

Bledsoe is our QB - accept that. Those calling for his demise get on board or leave.

We are going with a very new 3-4 defense, a new and rookie Laden team. There was going to be bumps. We have been in EVERY game. Comeback wins, clutch wins and 3 killer emotional losses.

We are 6-3 and tied for 1st in NFC East. We have essentially swept and knocked out Eagles. We are on verge of playoffs and contending.

Cardiac season - you betcha - I've been enjoying this journey since Day 1 of camp. Everyon man up and get on board. Its ok to enjoy this....

This is a special season, we could be far worse off. And the dommesayers and gloomers and usually the guys with no skin in the game would be giddy as pigs in mud outside a sewage plant.

Yesterday I asked who was going to be the Kmart of this season? Roy Williams stepped up and said me.

Lead, duck or get out of the way.

I totally agree Nors. I've felt this way about this team since the beginning of the season. I see something in this Cowboy team I haven't seen in years. I don't know how far they will go, but this is pretty exciting!!

GC's post was on the mark, but Hos has a point about people being able to express their opinions. It's what makes a messageboard a messageboard. Personally, I tend to stay away from the board during games because even reading irrational thread headlines drive me nuts. But that's me. Some people use the board to vent frustrations and so forth. As long as everyone follows the rules, I see no harm.

This thread is great.

Hypocrisy, holier than thou attitudes and ignorance all rolled up in a nice neat thread.

Keep up the good work, fellows.

I agree - I am a dirvish up to game day - posting machine - but game day I fade away to watching and experiencing the game mostly....

GC is right on Nitwits. Hos and co are right in Nitwits having right to be Nitwits.

There is beauty in this thread. I know it may be difficult for any of you to see but there is beauty here. Trust me, go and post on another forum. Post something like this and observe the type of responses you receive. While almost everyone has a different opinion, at least we all took the time to articulate what we were thinking. In another forum, this would have turned into a cheap cussing match and the moderator would have closed it after page 2.

What makes this forum great isn't just that all of us have different opinions; it's that all of us care deeply enough about them to articulate what we are thinking and to support our arguments in an intelligent manner. I don't see a lot of cheap punches in this thread. Yes, I see many people vehemently disagreeing but maintaining some sense of cohesive thought.

And this is why I always come back to this forum. It's because of all of you who make this forum worth reading even if I disagree or even get angered by some of the things you write.

So take a step back and put your egos aside and just appreciate we have a great thing here. I know many of you already appreciate this forum. But when you are angry, try to remember that and you might actually smile.

Some of you so called fans should be ashamed of yourselves. Not all, but some. What a joke. Moaning and pouting and crying because the Cowboys were playing poorly. Heaven forbid. It was the 3rd quarter and I was reading that we need a new QB, new OL, better LB's, new DL, new Head Coach and new Offensive Coordinator. It's too long of a season to not expect the Cowboys to play poorly for a period of time. I understand that this is a message board and a place to air your thoughts, but get a grip. Some so called fans were like, "I'm turning the TV off" or "I'm going to bed, I can't watch this anymore". Just unbelievable. I hope the fans who said this, and I use the term "fans" lightly, had the guts to do it, so you missed a great finish.

I've never turned a Cowboy game off before it was over. Never. 1-15 in 1989. Bears destroying us in the mid-80's. I would've missed some great comebacks back in the late 70's and early 80's if I did turn the TV off.

Those so called fans are spoiled babies. I'll give you all a pass if you're in elementary school or middle school, but that's it. I understand you're frustrated, but chill. I never threw in the towel last night, never do. I'm always like, if we can hold them here and then score then hold them again or get an onside kick or cause a turnover and score we can win this.

That all being said, we lost the battle of the trenches pretty bad and didn't play well at all. But I understand that it's going to happen quite a bit during a long season and not to go crazy about it. We'll bounce back. I think the bye had something to do with it. BP said we looked flat in some practices last week and it carried over to the game. Plus, give the Eagles credit. They came out and played a great game.

Go Cowboys!

i agree with most of your post and the overall theme of never throwin in the towel, but the fact remains, we have a lot of improving to do. we need help on the O-Line. Philly is a great run D so i wouldn't worry much about our poor rushing performance. and i believe getting henry back will help the overall defense a great deal.

You're about as clueless as they come. You just don't understand and I'm sick of explaining it. I don't claim to be a super homer or whatever and I don't claim to be better than you. I'm just saying to quit on "your" team that you devote so much time to between games and turn the game off because it isn't going "our" way is a bit childish, that is all. If you don't get that, then so be it. I just said that it's annoying when people call for Bledsoe to be in the Hall of Fame on one play and to cut him the next. If you don't get that, then so be it. I'm not asking everybody to agree with me, I could care less. I was just making a statement and you and a few other people who I described to a "T" in my initial post overreacted. Get over it.
