What are your Top 5 movies?

Don't have a top-5, but a hat tip to the Usual Suspects and to In Bruges, which is a great movie hardly anybody has actually seen.

Usual Suspects almost made mine. Just not enough room.

I'm not so much a John Wayne defender as I am someone who sees that the Duke had infinitely greater charisma and machismo than the lesser Fabulous Baker Boy.

And no offense taken, BTW. That was clever...ish.

Some take umberage at Wayne because he wasn't a good actor... Which he wasn't. Daniel Day Lewis he wasn't. But he was a hell-of-an entertaining actor. Guys like him, Clint, Charles Bronson didn't have to be great actors. They were just entertained the bejesus out of us.

In Bruges was good and had it's own quirky feel, but if I wanted to watch a Brit crime flick, I'd personally pick Snatch.
So much fun in that movie... Guy Ritchie's true talent is writing/directing silly-ish/serious crime flicks. When he strays, you can tell he's out of his element.
I would figuratively kill to work with him.

Awesome. Elvis movies always make me smile. I was told my father was a terrific Elvis impersonator (not by trade) and won a few awards for it.
I can't do anything Elvis like, except the lip thing... Hey there pretty mama...

Oh... The Thing is darn near a perfect movie, pace-wise.
So ahead of it's time, Efx-wise.
Had a very Lovecraftian feeling along with the claustrophobia and tension, which was perfectly executed.
John Carpenter is a singular genius.

Yup... so fantastic. Leaving little things to your imagination is often the best.
Like well constructed kills off-screen. The director let's your mind do the work and that's just... yes.

One of the best dry sarcastic comics out there. That movie was so out there, and appr Artie in small doses bf he went off the edge a bit. The prison scene, gramps, apt-grandma assumption, commercial parking lot scene, leaving fish in the mansion chaos, Chris Farley and his love/hate for Saigon women. Might have to go throwback soon, damn good comedy.

I liked On Golden Pond and Driving Miss Daisy Finishing The Game is a good one
